Me and a friend should be attending, just waiting to confirm my shifts at work.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and getting on track with some of the cars I've read about for ages!
Yeah I couldn't be chewed with AST and waiting months for a set.
Bought the AVOs, think one might be shagged already as I noticed when I went to fit them that one of the front shocks compressed really easily and then doesn't extend on its own, yet the other front shock does... Going to give...
Is anyone using these? I've currently got Bilstein B14s and I now agree that they're too soft for pure track use.
Budget is about £1k max and for that money the AVO seem like the best option. If anyone has any reviews or other suggestions please let me know!
Cheers
Any pics of the strengthening plates?
I'm tired of replacing hangers on mine and was thinking about making some sort of triangulated brace to replace the centre hanger.
I use 4th through duffus, less likely to get involuntary lift off oversteer is my thinking.
When are you lads there next? My car is ready to go now, haven't been since November last year I think, too long!
My throttle bodies have been sold to Craig, decided a trailer was a better investment for now.
Going to the ring next weekend but I'll be at knockhill regularly after that. Can't wait!
Those compact drivers can be muppets. If they're not diving past on the brakes then they'll purposely move over to stop you coming past on the straights. Fair enough if they were a lot faster through the corners but they aren't, I can pull away from them.
I would love to get into racing. Car is there or thereabouts in terms of spec, it's been good to read the realistic costs in here, may have to take the leap and see what happens!
I did this just yesterday. I don't understand how the arb could be in the way unless you've got the weight if the car on one wheel so you're 'loading' the arb?
As said above put the car on axle stands so that both front wheels are off the ground.
Henk emails the map to you as an attachment.
You have to send him a screenshot of the 'Ecu information' tab in the rstuner software when it's connected to your car so that he can tell which map to send you as they aren't all the same.
I'm going to go with an adaptronic from Andy@clioturbo. I'm interested too, not expecting a great deal on standard cams but I'll stick some 421s in eventually and see how it goes.
