LOVING it, Brands Hatch in the rain was brilliant and Abu Dhabi in the Aston was amazeballs, love getting some monstrous drifts going through the corners. Looks brilliant as well and running perfectly on the 980Ti.
Yeah I'm impressed with my 32GB G.Skill, tempted to put another 32GB in but tbh its probably a complete waste of £200 so decided to not bother. The only way I'd use it is for VMs and I've got 3 servers for that.
You won't tell much difference between the original i7 and the latest i7, trust me I've just done it. 580 GTX vs 980Ti was completely different obviously.
The watercooling gear has been accumulated over a few years, this is technically its third re-work with me, when i've got more time i can try and put something more accurate together, but by the time you add in the pumps, pump tops, reservoirs, radiators, fittings, blocks and tubing i'd say mine...
The CPU block? https://www.scan.co.uk/products/ek-supremacy-evo-red-edition
The motherboard block comes with the board and is by EK also (the best in the business so its no surprise they are on motherboards and GPUs these days)
I've had the little build about a year and a half I think (time goes by so fast!) And its amazing for its size, really packs a punch even with the 760 I think it is that's in there. If I wasn't watercooling still I'd definitely downsize. I basically have to partially build my main rig...
I haven't been on there for a while, but the best I came across was: http://family.million-dollar-pc.com/ last time I was on it was invite only I believe, if you need any help getting on let me know and I'll see if I can get you added if required.
I know what you mean mate, I've decided to just go for it. The Extreme III has gone back to air cooled in the Wife's machine although I did have to bend some of the internal framework to get it to fit even though the case was meant to be fine for ATX!
Yeah it really is, mine is installed in a Corsair 250D and its an awesome powerhouse. I've had a quiet day today so managed to get mine built with the formula board, its lightyears ahead of the Extreme III its replaced. I'm doing an overnight leak test just to be safe, but i'll try and get some...
So I finally decided to upgrade my base build, I've decided to go with the ASUS Maximus VIII Formula board this time around rather than the Extreme version mainly due to it having the EK waterblock. I'm going with the staple 6700k, 32GB G.Skill memory and a Samsung 512GB M.2. I've ordered a...
I'm going to wait until its cheaper, doesn't sound like its worth £40 to me. I wish games were more focused on Single Player or Co-Op campaign but that obviously doesn't appeal to the mass market it seems.
Love it, i run Goodyear Asymmetrics on mine as it generates a lot of tyre noise due to the width of the tyres, the Goodyears are easily the best i've used (previously Continentals which are awful and Dunlops which were significantly better but the Goodyears are better still).
I'd switch to Virgin if available, they will route a whole new line in. 210MB download and its very rarely down, I work from home everyday so having a fast available line is pretty crucial. I moved from Sky because they couldn't touch Virgin for performance and I was struggling working from home.
No, you need to buy an OS and a HDD (you would have to buy these with any other computer anyway?) The last deal made the machine £109.99, your getting a lot for that money, trust me. As GiT said, you haven't specified budget, but if you are looking for an inital CCTV setup, i'd be looking at...
