    Ignis number 2

Looking great, really miss my Iggy Sport. If I didn't need something vaguely practical for the forthcoming sprog I would buy another in a heart beat, so cheap now, many are on well below average miles and they are as good as bombproof if maintained properly.

    Clio Cup - Thruxton BTCC

First 3 with a Canon 5D MkII and Sigma 35mm 1.4, next one is with a Canon 135mm f2, track pics are with a Canon 1100D and Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6.

A few from Quali day yesterday. Anyone know what these are coming out at on the standard dB test? Stood right next to them when they were doing it, so quiet. BTCC Thruxton by Harry_S, on Flickr BTCC Thruxton by Harry_S, on Flickr BTCC Thruxton by Harry_S, on Flickr BTCC Thruxton by Harry_S...

Castle Combe Spring Performance Action Day

Cheap and cheerful, Canon 1100D (£100) and Tamron 70-300 (£200) for the track stuff. Bit more expensive for the statics, Canon 5D MkII, Sigma 35mm 1.4 and Canon 135mm f2.

    £300 Motorsport Challenge

I'm no pixel peeper but I've owned the Canon and Sigma 35mm 1.4, the Sigma has that extra something right from f1.4, I think it would be pretty hard to justify the Canon now. They're smashing it out of the park with their ART line, lots of people eagerly awaiting whatever they do at 85mm.

    £300 Motorsport Challenge

The GTR made pretty much everything else look like it was going backwards, incredible to watch, race car like braking etc. Really really pleased with the 35mm shots, nice and 3D. Tempted to trade the 135mm in towards an 85mm 1.2 next, finding 135mm a bit too long in most circumstances.

Castle Combe Spring Performance Action Day

Yep, popped back to the car briefly to get my short lens and it was gone when I walked back past so I missed the photo op.

To balance things out I also headed into the paddock with my FF set up (5D Mk2, Sigma 35mm 1.4, Canon 135mm f2) for some depth of field fun. The Sigma remains the best lens I've ever owned, stunning. Castle Combe PCAD 2014 by Harry_S, on Flickr Castle Combe PCAD 2014 by Harry_S, on Flickr...

    £300 Motorsport Challenge

My photography equipment has been completely geared towards travel and a forthcoming wedding for quite some time now, but I fancied a bit of motorsport shooting as it's used to be my main passion and I've completely lost touch over the past few years. As I didn't want to throw much money at it...

    Photography Chat and Questions Thread

Are you sure that's not your sensor? I would be very surprised if that's lens dust, most lenses more than a year or so old will have plenty of dust in them if you really look for it, but compared to sensor dust it's incredibly unlikely you will ever notice it in real life photos.

    The allure of full frame...

An 85mm 1.2 Mk1 popped up on Talk Photography for about £600 recently, I had a mega internal battle over that one, massive risk as they can't be serviced any more, but just the thought that it may have been a peach and given me many years of service. Probably safer to buy a Mk2...but my car is...

    The allure of full frame...

https://www.flickr.com/photos/harry_s/sets/72157642797668263/ Such a versatile focal length, I'm shooting a wedding next month and will just be using that and the Canon 135mm f2 (those two lens are my complete set up, the massive gap doesn't bother me)

    The allure of full frame...

I downsized (Micro 4/3 and Fuji X) when I was very poorly and could barely lift a camera, they certainly have their place and I absolutely loved carrying the small but super high quality Fuji around the USA on our honeymoon. If travelling extensively you need to be quite devoted to go with full...

    Embedding on the new Flickr?

Mine is still 'old school' and still puts the link/text below it, has that facility completely disappeared now? I don't get why that would go, surely it's free advertising for Flickr?! London March 2014 by Harry_S, on Flickr

Much higher number of Flickr views than before?

I do this all the time, gives a nice benchmark of what is possible (and therefore how far I've got to go to get there!) with a certain combo, and particularly for primes is really helpful in understanding the field of view a certain focal length offers, you can usually look at EXIF as well...

Much higher number of Flickr views than before?

Just goes to show how meaningless views are on Flickr (with no disrespect meant towards your photos!) My motorsport photos taken with the Fuji X-E1 are another good example, 1-3k views for every single one of them, and growing every day, but only because they were taken with an X-E1. Far, far...
