I wouldn't bother with the brakes, the standard items are fine. Also, on the one Evo rollered, that had the VXR Performance Centre remap and the exhaust - and it made 223bhp.
Now, Regal can remap them alone for less than £500 to 230bhp. I know the VXRp one keeps your warranty, but Regal's...
Some really, really brilliant shots there! Especially the tail out ones!
Comparing the R26 and the Golf 16v - I know the Golf is in a tighter bit of the corner, but there is an inkling there how far hot hatch suspension/chassis set up has come in recent years. The fact the Meggy can be...
Ignore the people who take little digs for no reason, like that guy - that's just CS, always someone up for an argument :)
I really like it, I always say to Rage, "nice pics and good work, but I'm still not a Euro fan" hehe! Must say, this, and his, are starting to turn me! Are you gonna...
I have a black metal one I got from Ebay, it's a Richbrook one with the proper Renault Sport logo and lines on the back. Looks like a genuine Renault product it's that good heh! 18 quid inc post mind you...
Well, no one mentioned Cat A or B cars, what you first said was
Which is a very different thing. But anyway, that's not important.
If he chooses to repair it himself I don't think there is any law against that? It doesn't have to be checked over and catagorised by anyone, it just usually...
Didn't someone on here recently pay £6.1k for a 172 Cup - albeit a slightly modded one? Or was it £5.1k? Guy that used to have a white 197 Cup who's user name totally escapes me? Had the Janspeed development exhaust and then sold it a few weeks after getting it put on?
Dan
Book prices don't work for rare stuff though like the Rallye or the V6 (Mk1 books at around £8k, realistically you still even now need £11k for a nice one - which is what I sold mine for). Cups are a bit more common so the book price it more realistic, but I agree, as a niche market minters...
I'd want 2 of them for that money!
Off to part ex? At dealer trade ins he'll probably want money from you for it along with the blue vee! In fact, please, go there and pretend you wanna strike a deal :D ?
I can't really remember how fast a 1*2 felt as it's been a while, so in true CS fashion I'm just gonna answer a related question that no one asked - My 197 is *exactly* the same in a straight line as my mates Corsa VXR - but I could get round the roundabout we were 180ing round before the drag...
You don't have to report it at all, but repair will cost a fortune I'm afraid, if a new boot floor needs welding in. Just cancel your insurance now, as that'll give you a refund of the rest of the year.
You can now sell it, or pay to get it repaired - which may be way too much money for you...
That is some AWESOME driving. Was on the PH Newsletter today as well, and there were all the Jap fan boys coming out with all the reasons why it didn't matter than it was quicker than the GT-R heh. It's cheaper than the GT-R in America I beleive hehe...
Brilliant pics dude, I HATE that I'm so far away from Goodwood so as to make it not really feasible for me :( A lot of fabulous exotica there. One thing that struck me is, despite it's obvious copious ability, the Nissan GT-R doesn't half look bland in that company. That's why Porsche owners...
It looks awful. Fiat Punto Grande? Anyway, I hope they FINALLY make a decent hot Fiesta. The RS Turbos had competative power, but that WOEFUL handling issue. Then we went without for a while till the ST, that had a sorted chassis, but a very poor engine choice, with a engine that was used in...
Niiiiice dude, suitably jealous here :) Although I must say, I'm not a fan of the wheels on the Rangie, the design I mean not just the whole ethos of having huge rims on an 'off-road' vehicle hehe.
Ah come on dude, don't be so modest, I'm sure the Englebert bank account can stomach it hehe ;) I was gonna post a link to Youtube now and a cool aftermarket one, but they're all this Gruppe M, and personally, I think it makes it sound like a Honda Civic :(...
My friend has a Dynamique 1.2 turbo with those seats :)
Nice car to drive aren't they? Nice an torquey - same engine as the Pug 206 GTi 138 I believe, which makes sens as PSA an Renault have shared engines before, and they;re both 138bhp heh :)
Np dude, hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction. Just keep cool, remember they need your authorisation for any work - but also it wouldn't have passed the MOT otherwise, and they fixed it using the proper bits. Maybe even explain you realise that, but you'd have preferred to have the...
I love how the rednecks just stood there at the side waving they're arms around, presumably shouting "Dammmmn bro you just went doooown!". Then some other rednecks just came, stood and looked at him, then got their priorities sorted... And started moving the bike?!
Great pics mate, some awesome lookin bits of kit there :) And huge congrats on been quickest car, despite a 150bhp deficit!
Read the other thread about the crash! Unlucky, but don't let it get you down, sh1t happens :)

Noob question - As they're AWD, how come he's able to do a burnout? Can you adjust where the power is going manually? It does look fairly mental, the spoiler doesn't really do it for me mind heh...
Unfortunately a lot of private buyers are just interested in seeing stamps in a book :( You'd be much better off if you had the service book and stuff - did it not come with the car or has it just been misplaced? Easily done, my mate lost his V5 and all his cars stuff during a house move some...
My mate bought his Corsa VXR, pre-reg that had 900 miles as a demo, £15k with climate and bluetooth and 18s... Exhaust, front mount and remap, all things you're advised to do AFTER running in can all be had for around £2k. I know it's not quite to the same spec, but it's a lot more sensible cash...
Seen as though some others have posted non-clios, I have this, at the time we couldn't actually tell what it was, I think it might be a Sierra? Or a Cavalier? It's hard to tell from the pic, which I took through me windscreen (whilst waiting for my mate whom I was pickin up to come up, not from...
Why isn't the Edition 30 on the BBSs they come with?
What's wrong with the DSG box, everyone seems to love them? And when it's not in 'auto' mode, surely you can tell it what gear to be in? I haven't tried anything with DSG yet, but I want to! I kept toying with going to blag a test drive...
