Saw my first 197 on the optional Raider wheels today. It was a black one, just like this on here - http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk8/wuffin_2008/PICT0003.jpg - which I found with a forum search, and here http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=295781&highlight=white+197 that I...
It is the Elia mate, he says somewhere on the other thread :)
Must say, it seems to be getting a better reception than I expected, perhaps half an half, I thought one of the big boyz would post some abuse then the disciples would just agree ;)
As I say, I quite like it, it wouldn't normally...
That'd totally be worth it I reckon! Then it'd be close to the pace of the RS one, especially when you factor in the extra torque. I'd get a little discreet boost gauge as well hehe :) I just like them, and also they're good for checking everything is workin ok with your turbo :)
I'd say most buyers wouldn't buy a car with no proof of service history. Stamps, bills or whatever - but most people want stamps - and especially with Clios, there are plenty on the market to choose from, so there is no need to buy the ones without history, as there are plenty out there with a...
Meggy is lookin good in the sun, I love inferno like that :) Not a fan of the T-Sport Corolla though. I assume you had no problem leaving it behind...? I remember testing one before I got the Vee as some guy was telling me it was a bargain CTR alternative. It's just not at all :D It's no...
I've looked at that before, it is indeed a beauty. I'd never buy it, because I wouldn't dare drive it, for fear of scraping it, popping it, or just putting wear and miles on it! It is an absolute masterpiece though as someone else said. It's one of those rare things that, the older it gets...
Ah, shame to see it go of course, but glad you've found a buyer mater. How long as it officially been on the market, did you put an ad up anywhere? Glad to see it's going to a good home as well - although, if the guy used to have a Vee, he's gonna be bored in this hehe ;):p You know you'll...
Really awesome pics dude! Love the tripodding 197! I'm also impressed with the amount of lean on that shot from the other side whilst it's cornering hard. I know it's rolling a bit, but the road is cambered to make it look a bit worse, and I think with the amount of commitment the dude is...
I love that there is Clio Sport owners that meet up in Sarajevo as well :)
They've done wonders over there after the war haven't they. I mean, it wasn't that long ago in the scheme of things, and the sheer amount of damage that was done, especially to Sarajevo. The siege there was the...
I like the look! As I said in that German 197 thread I posted earlier heh - I posted that before I saw this thread as well <makes X-files / Twilight zone music noises>.
Those powdercoaters have to be the bargain of the century...
Isn't K-Tec working on a map for the 1.2 TCE? I know they have a Twingo with that engine, that is apparently quicker than people think... I'd certainly be looking at a custom remap - although with the Twingo an Clio have this engine now, I imagine somewhere will have a map out soon.
Niiice, everyone loves a good shopping spree! Liking under the bonnet too, although I must confess, although I understand the possible benefits of the rear strut brace, I'm not a huge fan of the looks. I think I'd have preferred it had it been black, ditto the front one. But then, it's not my...
Re: the badges, yea I agree, I reckon the same red with the RS lettering in black (of course). That'd look pretty sweet IMHO. And the wheel size is - 9x19 et 40 with 215/35/19. Stock tyre size is 215/45/17
But there are nicer methods of saying you don't like it than some of the comments people on here are come out with. This is a car forum, people shouldn't have to be so thick skinned as is needed on here. I imagine some people take the comments people make really seriously and to heart. I...
Are you saying the paint and bodywork are of a poor standard, regardless as to whether you like the style, mods and colours - just the actual quality of how it's been executed? As that's what I beleive everyone was referring to when they said "It looks well done" - and I'd of course agreed, as...
Saw these over on Clio197.net, and I thought people here might appreciate them. I had a good look around and couldn't see that they'd already been posted before :)
Personally, I quite like it, I like the idea of the black and red together, and also I realise this won't be a...
I'd be keeping the Lupo then :) Look at it this way, it won't drop much value in a year, but an RS will. So when you're 20, or even better 21, you could sell it and get a 182, maybe even a Trophy. Or possibly (definately if you have extra cash - this probably goes for the trophy too) a 197...
TBH that's not that bad - it's not a tiny engine at the end of the day, it's a 16v and IME they're always thirstier when thrashed. Also like you say, it never really gets warmed up during the week - and engine economy is a lot worse when they're cold. So if that's coupled with some town...
What I buy cars based on has nothing to do with whether Pepsi should change his Lupo with a 172. I love how you say "He needs to know this" as if you're quoting some facts... He obviously doesn't agree as he thinks it's a head turner.
Maybe you don't care if other people look at your car and...
300bhp iirc? Or 280 or something. Yes anyway heh, lighter too of course, and 6 speed sequential race gearbox, and different suspension I beleive, 'cos they're certainly lower. Dunno about the brakes and stuff - but they're probably different. The road Mk1 has 330mm AP Racing 4 pots, and...
