Nothing wrong with the 8v IMO, nothing at all! Is there any power mods? What's been done with the suspension? Any other mods of note...? Sorry for all the questions, I just love Rallyes :)
Dan
Aye mate, but, s**t happens doesn't it eh :) Just gotta plug on and make the best of it!
By the way, if anyone is interested, mines a June 2007, 07 plate, Liquid Yellow R27, 14k miles approx, and was serviced and given new tyres just over 2k miles ago. It's in beautiful condition and still...
Also, don't newer cars like 182s, probably 172s as well have 'learning' ECUs? You drive like a granny all the time and it sort of 'adapts' to your driving and sort of goes more 'economy' ? This might not be true, but I'm sure it is - although whether it makes any difference to actual power is...
Probably easiest if I just link to here really mate, http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=352172. Explained in full. I haven't even advertised it yet, it's just so hard to so suddenly let go, I mean of driving as a whole, as I loved it so much, and the R27 is the best car I've ever...
I agree on the wheel nuts - as mine were really visible on the Vee and were rusty! I hated that, but I just put some crappy little plastic covers on them as I was selling. They were silver, but not shiny, so they were perfect for the Vees wheels really.
But a show cage? Dude... that's not...
That Rallye is an absolute beauty :) Love what he's done with the white 205 GTi wheels. Are the Rallye graphics non-standard...? They look great anyway, and the stance it has is perfect as well, just the right amount of low. Presume as it's a Ph2 it's a 1.6...? I personally found the 1.6 a...
I love my R27, and would recommend them, or any 197, to anyone. Fantastic cars in every way IMHO.
In fact, I'd sell it to any of you as well seen as I'm unable to drive anymore :( Long shot of course, but if anyone happens to have a hand control'd automatic and wants to part/ex...
Everytime...
Woooooah. I really can't find words to describe that... and not in a good way. I just... wooah. What was going through the owners mind? Except a sh*tload of drugs obviously...
Pfff, slow as a geriatric chav paying the bills, the 197 warps there, 0.001 seconds - it was less but I couldn't obtain any suitable timing gear that measured any less than that.

The speedos are over-reading by about 5-6mph at 100mph (so speedo says 100, true speed is 94/95), if my friends 05 plate 'Extreme' is anything to go by - ok it's only a 1.2, but it has the same speedo setup, and for true speed working off a TomTom GPS that had plenty of time to update as it was...
I like those little Type-Rs that were pre-breadvan shape, they look cool, especially some of the beasts in this thread. I'd love one with a UK K20, just the 197bhp engine from the breadvan, I just love that engine. Has as much torque as any other NA 2.0 16v low down but the way it just bursts...
Lose the stickers for me, and that'd be awesome. Although I think, that photo in the above post is the best angle to photo them from. The front somehow looks 'stretched' from side to side for me, but it doesn't offend me.
Personally, I love them for what they are to drive, but I'd never...
You must be getting tempted now just for a reaction hehe :D
The CS Massive turning up at your door at 3am, all packin their finest internet insults to hurl at you, until you're broken and weeping on the floor in the fetal position, and agree to change it back :D
And you'd have it coming to...
That's awesome Jon hehe :) I assume from your Av you took in the Ring too? Sounds similar to my trip earlier in the year, did you take in Stelvio Pass on the way down to Monaco?
Dan
Nice - it's great that the ECU update actually makes a difference :) The add-ons aren't for me normally but they actually work well with Nimbus, and I love Nimbus :)
How long does the ECU update take, as I won't be able to take my car in so my mum'll have to be doing it for me. Surely...
Car is awesome, and I like your plate :) Although I must admit I prefer the stock wheels, but those do look very good, and suit the car, in a kinda meaty/racey way. And it'd be the only way to stand out at a meet anyway with all the stock looking Vees hehe :)
I thought that the clutch thing was fixed? If it's not a problem anymore then someone should point that out instead of scaring any potential buyers hehe :)
Aye the market blows at the moment, although when I got mine R26s were available for just over £13k (£13,250 one I went to see was at a big car garage), that was in June. R27s on the market still seem quite rare, cheapest been a red one on PH for £13k private sale, or on Autotrader £12k private...
That's a bit steep no? Don't buy a new one you mentalist, wait till they're 6 months old, by then you'll have talked yourself out of it and stuck with the 197 hehe ;) Or if not, at least they'll have shed a couple of grand. Have you had a word with the dealers on the RS forum to see what...
