    The Apple Watch Thread

Yup, I am a lazy git who rarely exercises but I use my Apple Watch constantly for alerts, messages, etc... with the new OS3 you can write proper replies from the watch now, rather than the preset yes, no, ok, bye, style of responses, you use your finger as a pen, very clever. Also handy for...

Watch OS3 has really improved things IMO, definitely a worthwhile update

Yes they work just fine, wall charger will be the only issue, 2 pin US not 3 pin UK, but your iPhone one will work, just use the watch charging cable

Get the larger 42mm model, the larger screen is easier to read and the battery is bigger, so lasts longer, if you can't wear a watch for work then the 38mm one is still a no no anyway?

Well me cheapo Alcatel watch is playing up, or the charging side at least, it has USB built into the strap, must be a loose connection as you need to hold it in a position for it to charge, everything else still works fine, taking it back to Game under warranty, shame.

    Old Skool cool cars

Yeah, it was a factory colour, Mustard Yellow and it was pretty rare even back then, compared to the lighter Jamaican Yellow that was more common. Had that for about 5 years, loved it.

    6 months with a V8 M3

Might be true of older turbocharged cars, but a standard Golf R for example has 280 lbft from 1,800 to 5,500 rpm, more when mapped. :tongueout: However back on topic, compare the E92 M3 to the E39 M5 as another BMW V8, the M5 has 369lbft and it's just a big wall of torque, the M3 is a completely...

    6 months with a V8 M3

M6 for me, same car under the skin, even better looking car, but I'd not turn down the M5

Does sound like you are very happy with it, they have always been on my want list. Like I said though, one day... I've got the Golf R for 2 years, which I'm loving as its a very different car from what I've had for the past few years, can't match the M5 for noise, not much can!

    M3. V8. Saloon.

When I was running 2 cars, I had the M5 manual and the 330d auto, now I'm down to 1 car again, DSG is a nice mix IMO, but suits the Golf well

    M3. V8. Saloon.

My M5 was manual, my Golf is DSG, I like & appreciate both gearboxes, but I'd probably get a manual M3 as well TBH, although I'd not turn down a DCT M3 either.

    M3. V8. Saloon.

One of the first things I did in my M5 was change to a Clubsport / ZF gear knob, much better IMO

    M3. V8. Saloon.

Keep going... The E39 M5 was born in 1999 and the E46 M3 in 2000, both still very fast, very good looking cars today, BMW nailed both these cars!

    M3. V8. Saloon.

This, the current turbocharged M3 & M4 sound w**k in comparison, I just cannot get excited about them, the older normally aspirated versions sound much better, even when you get an aftermarket exhaust on the newer cars. The E39 M5 has masses of low end grunt and did struggle for...

    M3. V8. Saloon.

It's not 'gutless', but compared to say an E39 M5, it's got much less low end grunt and has a more dramatic top end, totally different character and needs to be revved to exploit the performance, not really comparable to a boosted 6 pot to be fair, the V8 sounds infinitely better IMO.

    M3. V8. Saloon.

That was one thing I never really liked on my E90 either, the reverse section stands out like mad IMO

@MarkX Check the firmware on your watch, the Game stock must be older and mine needed an update, it's done via the phone app

How does the Pebble Steel do sleep monitoring then, there's no heart rate sensor AFAIK? Agreed, the Apple Watch 2 needs good battery life, meant to be out this summer, so info & pics will start getting leaked, will then decide if I want one or not, but the battery on my 6S is superb compared to...

Had to charge it last night, so that was 3 full days of use, with 2 nights of sleep monitoring as well, pretty good for the first full charge and with me not messing with it so much now I might get another day.

    The Apple Watch Thread

I bought the Alcatel One Touch watch, as per my previous post >>> http://watch.alcatelonetouch.com/ The strap is not 'just' a strap on this watch, it contains the USB charging connection and NFC point, but the black & red rubber strap is surprisingly comfortable, it's been on my arm pretty much...
