Ive just bought a 172 cup and its running rough , its misfiring on tick over and drinking fuel like a b**ch, the dephaser is on its way out so will this cause it ? Cheers

Torque app only reads dtc's nothing else ,, you need proper diagnostics like launch snap on bosch etc etc to read abs and airbag faults

I rate Wix filters for aftermarket filters i use them all day at work and never had a problem

i think its a problem with the abs pump we've had them come in the garage with this fault ,,, an easy way to test is to take the abs fuse out the main fuse box in the engine bay on the passenger side ,, take it for a spin and the brakes should work fine ;)

Yes i have the old engine but the bottom end is knocking

UPDATE - 182 manifold has arrived :p and we've made a dolly for it so it can be easily moved around the workshop while the subframe is out

ive remapped many turbo diesel cars for taxi firms and they have never had any problems and there cars have done 200+ k miles

Tbh it depends on the map and if people get carried away with the boost haha , ive had a seat leon cupra r in for a engine rebuild because of a dodgy map , it ran far too much boost and bent a rod

Hi bud i do ecu remapping , basically modified ignition map and fuel map on petrol cars , same with modern turbo cars but with the boost increased and with turbo diesel cars the boost and fuelling increased , cars dont come like this from factory because of emission regulations . hope this helps ;)

Hi the clio cup setup on the image there is pretty much what i was gonna do ,, four port master cylinder , blank 1 port off and run 1 to the rear via a wilwood brake bias valve

Yeh i was suprised how cheap it was aswell haha,,, i heard it running before it was removed aswell ,,, its done 83,000 . Im gonna have to change a few bits for it to go into my ph1 but thats only minor .

Whilst ive got my engine out my car im thinking of getting rid of the abs system ,,, ive done this on a few cars on the past and i know when getting rid of the abs pump i will have to fit non abs bias valves ,,, im just wondering if it would be easier to get them from a cup edition car and...

Yeh gonna do belts and pulleys while its out and ive got a 182 mainfold and rs inlet also so far.. im after some 197 cams now :)

Here my project ,, a bit of fun for the summer :) I bought this 172 ph1 off ebay for £460 with the bottom end shot ... Now ive got my hands on it the wheels and interior have gone and ive started ripping it to pieces .. Ive got my hands on a 172 ph2 cup engine and box complete for £275 ...
