The problem will be down to the foam attachment you are using. The one that comes with the jet wash will give you a 'soapy water' spray over the car rather than foam. To get a really thick foam you need a dedicated foam lance like: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pa-foam-lance-cat2.html
