Thanks for the advice. Think I'l go ahead and do it myself. I've done a fair few cam belt's before but I know what the 1*2's are like and I've heard one to many horror stories.
Am I best off sticking to the Renault branded oil? Now I know I'm doing it myself it might be worth paying the bit...
The Clio's next service is due soon, is there any problems doing it myself?
All my old cars I’ve serviced and I’ve just kept the invoices/ receipts for it and jotted down at what mileage I carried out the service.
I’m a Marine Engineer and have been for the past 4 years, I work with engines on...
I have never thought for so long over such a simple question. Go karting first so then at the pub/wherever we can celebrate who won and who managed to write off a Go Kart.
The Karting on a Sunday is 2pm - 5pm , the Seven Stars is a good shout but every hungover Joe and their family will be there for their Sunday roast so the car park might rapidly fill, there's always the Gissons Arms, that has a decent sized car park..
Plus its fairly easy to get to, postcode...

I had to sit down when he told it only had 60k miles on it, bonnet was full of stone chips. I didn't ask how much he paid for it, but if he told £2450 I don't think I'd have believed him.
Pulled over to see if he hadn't ran out of petrol or something silly, I went over and asked if he was ok and what was up with the car, he told me he was driving along at 70 ish then all of a sudden it started juddering, revving and high and after about 5 seconds it felt like it lost power...
Best bet is Admiral mate, as you can see me and Stephen aren't paying stupid money but still quite a bit. However insurance prices are just going up and up so once you do turn 19 who knows what you will be paying. But as it stands £3500 a year is madness that's £291 a Month!
