i'm not sure mate, think it has adaptronic and wasted spark coil. but there could be an other issue i don't know about....
does 95 opposed to 97 make that much difference? i wanted my 9 mapped on 95 aswell as there are getting less and less pumps out here selling 97.
difference here is more...
going to file the keyway to allow it to r****d the cam by a few degrees. running the car and logging afr's so i can see what is does to the VE :)
i've heard of a friend who's EGT became very high so they couldn't/wouldn't make it produce more power (on t34 turbine opposed to my gt28rs). thats...
don't forget as you've seen in the chart the timing of the megane is different from the start, so maybe advancing his inlet cam on the Megane standard timing would still be retarded compared to the F4r standard timing. i don't know what turbo he used but if he used a larger unit that the...
if it doesn't differ that much you maybe could work the manifold to suit your ports better?
Chip, wouldn't advancing the exhaust cam eat up more of the burning process since the valves open earlier in the cycle? so maybe better spool but less topend although because of less overlap it would...
well i'm probably just as clued up on cam timing as you are but after reading several forums etc this is what i understand:
retarding the inlet cam reduces overlap which makes for a slightly more sluggish bottom end, that's because to get the max VE an n/a engine relies on ram...
don't forget 5 degrees at the cam will only be 2,5 degrees on the crank. don't know if you did it to decrease overlap or just so it doesn't hit the piston?
lol!!! this is Chip, always saying he won't crank up the boost which he eventually does anyway :P
nice result though, gonna keep it like this?
guess the turbo is more maxed out then maxed out!
i guess when you heard that the valves must be f*cked now? if not just rip off the vvt pulley and fit Megane pulley or just leave the solenoid unplugged....
btw, do you have a thread of the engine/car?
i guess i have a special set of pistons then because they seem pretty big to me, especially as the megane's have none...
Megane sport vs Clio sport vs Williams:
have a look at T.Trophy's thread in this section (how to build a 300bhp+ clio).
everything you need to know will be in there apart from the internal stuff since your using oe megane internals :)
i always wondered though, the Clio has such huge valve cutouts probably because off the vvc. won't...
hi mate,
are you still using the jc5 on your new setup or are you converting to 02m?
the reason i'm asking is i'm looking for a used helix paddle for my turbo conversion.
(btw, your inbox is full)
cheers,
Arthur
the valeo number is 801015 but that's for the 200mm clutch, i'm not sure if that's the same for the 215mm one.
i've asked the lad of rtoc for you, he was running a tad over 300lb/ft with the valeo/6-puck combo.
stu, i don't know what setup you're running but a guy at RTOC has 370 bhp with valeo greenbox volvo cover and ap 6 puck friction plate. for his feeling the clutch barely holds but i'd guess it's more then enough for you?
plus if you ever do mistake a corner or slip or anything you won't have to shift back but there will be enough low down grunt to get up to speed again :)
