Holly sh*t this is hilarious!
kumkum, if you french people really are that great compared to the English lads, then what are you doing on this forum?
and when talking about language the English guys have the privilege of basically everyone around the world knowing there language so they don't...
Little pull from 1st till 3rd with 6000rpm limiter and only 8psi on conservative timing:

Synchro's are deffo not as fast as Renaults are.
although the gears i've put together are spot on, the quaife is lovely and if i'm lucky it doesn't break!
some pics of the conversion will follow if you guys are interested but this is the finished product.
have to sort out some clutch issues, fab a 3" exhaust and check/fix the brakes but other than that it's driveable and currently running the engine in on 8psi, which icw the quaife diff goes like...
Omfg! This already was the greatest clio racecar build i've ever seen and since the last update it got even better!
top job mate, and indeed, the wrap makes alot of sense!
What i do notice with mine is when i shift it needs a second to boost again. But that could well be something mechanical not working properly anymore after 150k miles
Would be better, the thing with it being tilted is the oil will puddle up inside the bearing housing.
also don't forget if you do have it tiled to the max it will be tilted even more when driving up/downhill.
so vertically is the best imo

Holy s**t! I've heard there was something in the pipelines but this is brutal!
another 02m owner too btw :D
is there a project thread of this or just some teaser pics now and then?
awesome build mate! did you buy all the parts for the block seperate or did you happen to buy the block of a member on here? if so you beat me to it :p

however i may have some interesting bits for you. don't know if you already have the turbocharger but i have one which i only used for...
i know it wouldn't make sense to you mate. however if you do feel like converting it don't hesitate to ask any questions!
i'm going to work on it like mad when i get back hoping i have it running again for a french meeting the 1st of June.
and maybe you'll see the oldskool sleeper at FCS if...
sucks to be away and could'nt do anything on your car right? i'm feeling like this for over 3 months now and still have 4 weeks to go :(
however when i get home there'll probably be a whole pile of parts waiting for me :D
the counter now stands somewhere around 2500 for the 02m conversion but...
wow! haven't looked at this thread for a while and suddenly the whole engine is rebuilt :p
all i can say is: great work mate! you really don't hang about with your car, colour looks lovely too!
i'm more curious on the rods and pistons tbh.
but differences between cams would be interesting too!
there's a guy on Meganesport forum called Hulk250 who has his engine forged. maybe he still has the old set of pistons/rods or has pics off it. anyone a member on there who could ask?
i know the title may be a bit misleading but i'm sure this will draw some attention :p
i'm wondering if anyone ever pulled a 250/265 engine apart or does know more about the internals of these engines?
i'm very interested in what Renault upgraded or just re-used from the 225 engine.
cheers...
i've been looking at the datasheets of catcams which they have online and i now realize why f4r's are so happy with boost. with the vvt disengaged there already is very low overlap on the cams. the vvt probably normally is engaged to allow early filling of the chambers and disengaged higher up...
