There's a slide and a climbing frame at the pub IIRC? If thats not enough theres also Mcdonalds, an asda and a closed down bowling alley? And for the extra Trafford Park feel its surrounded by industrial estates
After the car cooled down I went out again and though the rattle at 4k is still there the car pulls fine through the revs again :s I think it may he running a bit too hot. This in mind I have a vinyl front number plate coming and will speak to tuning developments about the charge cooler...
Re: The clio's replacement...
So, over the winter I put on winter tyres and ran about in the car as per normal and a knocking on the nearside suspension developed. Just before Christmas I had the upper ball joint replaced at a cost of just over £300 :dead: However, this only made it knock...
It sounds to me then that the right idea is to sell the mini. If your looking for a clio then by all means there is nothing wrong with a 1.2, however do an insurance quote for a 1.6. When I had one all them years ago I think the 1.6 was about £50 more a year to insure than the 1.2 :o
they're not crap at all, mine was a brilliant cheap car when I was 18/19 it was comfy, cheap, reliable and fairly good to throw around constantly revving the nuts off it on coilovers. However, this was coming from a ford escort and a vauxhall astra... hardly high performance fun cars.
Coming...
1.2s aren't bad at all for cheap cars tbh. but it wont be anywhere near as much fun as the mini. A set of coilovers will make it more fun on a B road, but still not a mini.
errr, I have the oldest original name so I still get the win over Christopher ;) It'll be good to see the 200 before you add Miltek and speedlines haha.
Tell them to pull their finger out and get it done, my GT4's having a load of work done this week, after all that I just need to crack on with a hammer and a rattle can and it should be good as new :)
ps, we dont have to actually get food...a beer and some banter is good enough for me lol
I'd buy my 197 back in a heartbeat provided it had been looked after, I never wanted to give it back in the 1st place! I fought to keep it for a year unemployed with £300 per month finance :(
Reg MF08 OVJ if anyones seen it...
Hi guys, its been a while since the bury/bolton members got together at the pub so who's up for some food/banter at the papermill again? Its easy to find for people who haven't come before and the foods good and cheap pub grub...
