how much did said mate pay for "s~*t" dip.. their face book page is rubbish... which tells me many things, and their website links to an instagram picture site with many nice cars, but most look to be taken in other countries...so clearly not theirs hmmn

plastic coat dip as its a feature colour strip.... peel when wet that makes sense....
if you stop and start say did one side, peeled, then attachd the other side, does it bond/overlay with the previous section??
also whats a decent product to buy... need a grey/anthracite

righto lads would like to add a band 50mm wide of peel coat along the body work edged up with some pinstripe tape..
basically would mark up my band, mask up car, and spray...
peel back the masking tape, that would have overspray on it, so i assume i would have to cut the peel coat? then using...
Graham, thank you for part numbers will speak to renault parts to cross check and get them on order...... those top mounts certainly were mot hand tight when removed them !
will slaken them off a touch...
got a fair bit interior stripped tonight and found £2.12p wedged under the multi cd box...
im in two minds wait until its all done (about 4 weeks) as seats and roll bar on order...or
might do a shakedown on the 12th or 18th... may..
just ordered a whiteline arb.. so got that to fit with my brakes....

geabox oil good call.. track rod ends too will check movement..
found the renfort on ebay will have a read up on here to see whats involved..ive read only to use high tensile bolts and loctite the buggers in...
going to be replacing my clutch 62k miles 2002 mk 2 172 as preventative maintenance...
spoke to a local mechanic and hes said sometimes the bolts turn within the chassis members which require cutting to get on the end of..
is there anything i can do to help this situation... keep soaking in...
The car sits super ace, and drives really smooth... with minimal roll.. i could live with this set up easy on the road every day.... will see how wit goes on the track..
will be adding a rear arb at some point...
didnt think the existing shocks and springs were in bad nick for 60k miles either...
I should have ordered some new bolts, rubber boots, shock caps... just to keep my ocd happy...

soaked the two lower shock arm bolts the night before, but still need a 400mm breaker bar to free them up.. quick trip to machine mart and it did the job just perfect..
cleaned up the arches a bit aswell.. quite a straightforward job, luckily i had read on here about being care full...

first l tackled the rear shocks and springs.. cooksport springs and renault cup shops... cleaned up the arches as i went along... real easy job... although you do need a reasonable socket breaker bar to crack the lower nut free

had a great productive satisfying weekend, didnt manage to get everything completed, but think that was a little ambitious, plus i had more family duties, cycling, and the motor racing and superbikes to watch.. didnt manage to get the spanners out at all on sunday
