thanks mate. The legacy was nice. Ej20 engine as the impreza but with a twin turbo setup for smoother power delivery. Had it dyno'd at 282 bhp but it never realy felt as quick as the imprezas.
the bugeye had a td05 16g turbo off a type r modified to fit, decat up and down pipes, hks panel...
That is a nice scooby mate! I have a bit of a soft spit for imprezas. I owned a 2002 wrx for 4 years and loved it. Since then ive also owned a 1993 import wrx and a 2000 legacy b4 rsk
Just read the entire thread from start to finish. I like what youve done with the car mate it looks nice and subtle.
it was good to see a good comparison of before and after with the cooksport springs, as im planning to get a set for mine.
good work
Mines exactly the same. Runs lumpy and sounds almost as if its misfiring for a mile or so on cold start but then its fine after that.
been told its normal mate
I thought id start a thread for my clio 182. Its a 54 plate with both cup packs and has covered 81k miles upto now.
I have owned the car 3 weeks now and love it so far. So far i have done the following:
New number plates as the ones on the car were scabby (altho i may go for a 3/4 size plate...
Cooksport probably lol ;)
Thanks for the info :S i probably should have worded that a bit better. I meant are there any traders on here that sell them lol
Just wanted to know where i can buy these from? Ive done a few searches and looked at a few pics of other cars with the springs on and i have decided to go for them.
Do i need to get specific springs for the cup suspension? Were can i buy them from and how much are they?
Cheers
Agreed. you certainly cant fault them in the character and fun stakes. im not saying the lumpy idle is a problem or that it bothers me in the slightest, i was jusr curious as to 'why' it does. Or is it just simply because its in such a high state of tune from the factory.
Good afternoon.
Im just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the lumpy idling of the 172/182's.
I recently bought a 182, which had lumpy idle but drives 100% spot on. a lot of research later and a lot of people telling me so, i concluded this was normal.
However, surely renault...
thanks for the reply. yeah ive read a lot about the lumpy idle and have put it down to being normal. the engine does run perfect and pulls like a train. its mainly on cold start then it subsides but is still not 100% smooth when warm.
As for the bushes, are they a big job? How expensive? My...
i had toyo t1r's on my impreza sti and i rate them highly. they are the best road tyres ive tried for grip and performace. I have done some research on here and a lot of people are saying a slightly lumpy idle is normal? Can anyone confirm this?
As for the clunking i will take it too get...

Ok so got the car yesterday and in realy pleases with it. feels quick and drives nice and tight.
2 things i have noticed with the car is it has a slightly lumpy idle. strange as when you rev it it sounds sweet as a nut and it pulls like a train. just when its sat on idle it seems to tick over a...
Morning all!
Im quite exited today. I bought myself a 54 plate clio 182 with both cup packs and today is the day i pick it Up.
Basically, my previous car (a 2000 subaru legacy b4 rsk) was written off in april when me and the wife were involved in a minor pileup. So 4 months later and i...
