Oh an it had an upgraded Oil pump too.
It is all currently being installed as we speak so I will get some more photos posted soon.
It will also be running a HPFP and swirl pot setup. I don't want it too noisy so the pump will be outside the cabin underneath the car.
So the next stage was to collect all of the bits I needed. Supercharger, Fluid (who knew it was over £100 per bottle), Pipework and intercooler. I also got my hands on a new plug and play ME221 ECU for the Clio.
I found the charger kit off one of the members on here which I bought. He also...
So as it was a newish build, we though a track day at Castle Combe was in order. Great day, had to change to wets for a session then back to Semi slicks. Performed perfectly all day. Really pleased
The Turn One Cup seat was only ever destined for the passenger side as a little homage to the car being a Cup and usually visible as it will just have me in it. I upgraded the drivers seat to the Mirco and am very pleased with the position
Next was getting the cage fitted, Luke 6 point harnesses, Lightweight Battery installed and relocated behind the passenger seat, Weld in rails on the drivers seat, bonnet and boot pins, new HC discs all round from @George@RTR_Parts, 660 Race Fluid and PBS pads front and rear. Oh and the new Tow...
I then decided I wanted to update the clocks for the moment as I will go down the Digital dash at some point, but it isn't an urgent at the moment. I wanted to have the 197 type so Spinal Studios did this for me
I thought I'd start a project thread as I have been working on this for a while. Before I started, I researched all of my options between Supercharged and Turbo. I decided I wanted Supercharged as I wanted the NA performance rather than turbo delivery, plus keeping the heat in the engine was was...
Hi Simon
Interested in the AST options if you want to PM me. I originally got a quote from Josh so I am aware of the 5100 costs o_O
Do you do really cheap offers if I put your name on the car :p:cool:
I have a MSA full cage with door bars and roof cross.
Battery moved inside the cabin behind the passenger seat so no lead acid
Fully stripped of all plastics but standard dash
6 point harnesses
Lightweight door cards
So I need to look at a suspension that I can Hillclimb and adjust for circuits...
Also I am just trying to work out the best suspension options. I would like AST but they are too expensive. Gaz Golds seem to be the preferred choice, and then there is BC where I can choose spring rates of 10kg Front / 9kg Rear.
Any ideas for the Track/Competition Guys?
Yes please. I am looking at getting into this ready for next year so am slowly trying to build the clio. Interested to know how the tyres are getting on too
It's driving me bananas. I have refitted it about 14 times, but wont go back any other way.
I need to get it on a ramp to see if it is fouling somewhere to twist it. It fitted perfectly until the splitter went on
