Picked this up last night as my new runaround to go alongside my 172'd Valver track toy .
I sold my 182 a few months ago to fund my other Valver project, got a little TD Fiesta runabout and I got massively bored, so here I am 2 months later with Valver #2 :D
One of the cleanest about...
Just the first 2 videos for now. I'll sort the rest of my tapes over the weekend and hopefully come up with a few more. Video's seem really 'jumpy' to me at times, unsure whether thats just my laptop I've failed somewhere in the editing/uploading stage.
Anyway.
First one chasing various...
Well, the cars final outing with the current 1.8 engine will be a Renaultsport trackday at Cadwell Park on Tuesday. It will be getting death throughout the day, if it dies I'm not too fussed . It'll then be off the road for a short while as it gets some 172 treatment.
Anyway, thought I'd...
Right, not really clio related, but the diesel fiesta bus I've just bought to run around in.
I'd assume it has standard front speakers, with an old JVC CD headunit which were fitted when I bought it.
Now my question is, whats the likely cause of it barely going loud enough to be able to hear...
I've had a new windscreen on my track car and can no longer see when its sunny, so its a needed rather than wanted addition!
Had a black one before, but tempted to go white or will that look daft? I've got a few white stickers on the back and its white inside, so white wont look too out of...
New owner came round, had a look and a drive, and took it there and then. I thought i'd have it for a few days yet! :(
A few photos I took after I cleaned it up for sale, really did come up well and made it look worth alot more than what I was asking. Buyer got a good deal tbh :o
Need to...
A few pics for starters, video's to follow.
First set without borders are from trackphoto, last 6 with borders are from f0xy.
Comments, positive and negative, welcome.
Thoughts? Bar the wheels, I like. Colour looked more like Sunflower than liquid though which was strange.
And the Megane Trophy, based VERY loosely on the same thing!
A few tarted up paddock pits. Not loads but just a few I've had a play about with. Possibly more to follow if I get round to sorting any more.
Edit. Photobucket has ruined them! :(

Good show guys, really enjoyed it. Weather behaved itself and I've come home with a tan
Good work on the parade lad, massive turnout. Shame it left the stand looking such a mess when everyone returned though.
Bring on '10 :approve:.
Fitted my replacement alternator to the Mk1 this afternoon after the last one gave up, and though I'd give it a wash and a quick polishing effort afterwards. It'd done 600 miles to Brands and back so the front end was caked in bugs
Also gave my 182 the same treatment while I was at it...
The 182's been short of attention of late because of my Mk1 project, but I finished work early today and gave it a once over, well overdue! The pics of it in the dirty car thread give a good idea of how it was. Currently on 64k and going well
Williams wheels are temporary until I get...
172/182 Driveshaft, N/S, the inner gaiter sits on a bearing which goes on the driveshaft. Well I need that bearing as what I got in an aftermarket kit turned out to be more of a solid bush than a bearing, so it couldnt turn.
The bit on the left:
Cheers
How might I get the rest of the bugger out? It's left a little bit protruding but not really enough to get mole grips on.
Can I buy a new pair on their own from anywhere? They're 172 front calipers.
Annoying how 15yr old 16v rears undid fine but I had to use molegrips on the ~6yr old 172 cup...
Loads of pics of where I'm upto so far with the project Valver. Really starting to get there now and I'll hopefully have some photos of it out on the roads soon!

Finished painting my Williams wheels now and I had the tyres fitted/balanced this morning. Bolted the rest of the suspension on so I could see what it looked like and here are the results.
Rattle can beadage
Widetrack anyone?
If you're wondering...
