like I said, I didn't buy it, so I don't have a receipt or anything, plus i can't really take it off and send it to them. I'll just have to get it repaired.
The annoying thing is that it's louder inside the car than outside. Can't justify the price of a yozza, so will have to get this sorted and put up with it for a few monhts.
I didn't buy this, it came on the car. Want rid of it when I can afford something better. However it started blowing late last night, thought it just needed tightening up as it sounded like it was coming from the flange.
5 mins from home and *bang-scratch-grind*
With it being dark I thought...
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Finally got around to taking a look at the exhaust.. just another example as to why powerflow are cr*p. The flange has ripped off, thank to crappy welds.
nicer note, ph2 door handles arrived.
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Cheers man, seems to be running pretty well which I'm happy with.
Cheers dude, thanks to the silly offset on the ph1 F1s I think I'll need either some different wheels or a set of spacers on the front.
Little bit of an update too... NEVER BUY A POWERFLOW EXHAUST...
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Off to RS Tuning today for the NE RR day. Was a little anxious A) I wasn't sure if the car would actually get on the rollers, due to it being so low. B) With it being a new car, I wasn't entirely sure how it was running. With the MIL light being on, but performance not...
Good day, glad mine is running alright, was a little worried before hand (also about whether it'd actually get on the rollers).
Sorry we couldn't hang a around too long guys, wanted to get back for the F1.
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Whilst waiting for f0xy to pop down and show me how to do the tracking on the drive, I gave the car a good clean and took a couple of pics before the light completely faded.... all ready for RR meet at RS Tuning tomorrow morning. We finished everything at midnight, and...
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Finally sorted out the camber on the front, didn't take long and improved the handling substantially. The turn-in is fantastic now. Just need some decent tyres to compliment everything.
Much happier
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
oh right, makes sense. I've had this wheel for ages, was on my MK5 Zetec-s oh so long ago. Beats the Renalt windmill you get as standard.
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Cheers, I wouldn't say it's "mint" there are still a few little things that need sorting out. I really want to get it into the bodysgop to get a few little imperfections sorted out.
The steering wheel made a huge difference, massive imporvement.
BTW - I had a...
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Will be getting sorted this evening. It was getting dark, so we wanted to crack on with the rears, and we just set the strut straight in the hub, rather than guessing what camber we were setting it to. Will jack up the front and adjust them tonight, shouldn't take long.

Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Well this evening was interesting...
Decided I wanted to fit the coilovers when I got home, as f0xy was popping down to get the sump plug key he lent me the other day. Got the front top mounts loose, and then go going. Jamie Rigby gave me a hand / did most of the leg...
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Just one diget away from 172... little annoying.
When i decided I wanted another ph1, I wanted either a Black, red, yellow one or an immaculate silver one. Didn't expect to find a sunflower, but this one looked pretty tidy, was within budget (although slightly more...
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Cheers man, trust me you don't want it right now... little list of things to sort out.
New O/S Driveshaft
New O/S Ball Joint
Bodywork / rear bumper
New Exhaust
New Rear disks (Bearings knackered)
Find out why the engine light has come on (running fine, likely a sensor)
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Well, after waiting for about 2 weeks for coilovers, they finally arrived. First set I recieved were for a MK1, not impressed I had to wait ages to get a new set. Arrived this afternoon, and because I don't trust them to send the right set I went about measuring the...
Took delivery of my second set of FK coilovers from Venom Motorsport, after they sent a set for a MK1 somehow. It's not that I don't trust FK to send the right kit, it's that I don't trust Venom to order the right kit... So far things check out, just want to be sure if anyone else has the same...
ah brill.. was a bit worried. tried searching and everyone was on about a light on the right hand side of the dash. Even after a quick call to f0xy he asked if it was the light on the right hand side. Fingers crossed it's just a sensor.
Just to add. Chaged the oil at the weekend (correct grade) and that's about it. I knocked the oil pressue sensor (green one on the front of the block) in the process, which made the oil light flash on and off when accelerating. Quickly sorted that by just giving it a push. Just wondering whether...
Was just cruising down the motorway at 60 (traffic) on the way home from work, and the engine light just randomly came on. No other symptoms, revs freely, pulls ok, no knocking or missfiring. Wasn't too worried as I thought it was just an emmissions light. However after doing a bit of searching...
