I've seen a 57 plate Arctic Blue 182 a few times when I've been going to work and back, looks odd!
There's even a 09 plate Peugeot 206 in my local town lol.
My cousin's bought that 182 that's pictured. It's a really good example he's loving it! We've been for a good few spirited drives already along the local B-Roads and what not, have to say my VXR just falls apart trying to keep up! forgot just how good these Renaultsport Clio's are.
Can't stop...
Glad it's still going strong, what's the millage now ? think it was on 99k when i had it.
Think it's the Selector Seal that needs replacing, i never got around to doing it.
I had a play with my mate's 182 when I had my ST150, he made me look like I was driving a 1.2 when we did the traffic light GP!, then when I had my 172, had a blast with my other mates ST150 that had full De-Cat Exhaust system and trusty K&N and there was nothing in it.
It's a small world ain't it. That Clio has had a busy life then hasn't it getting things replaced twice lol!
They only thing i didn't get to fix was the leaky Gearbox selector Seal and something to do with the Steering Column.
Apart from that it was a very solid car. The interior was...
I had this car up until last July when i traded it in for my current Astra VXR. I replaced loads of maintenance things and even had full Genuine Cat-Back Exhaust System and kept it OEM as possible, from what I remember the Engine very strong one and even at 90k+ miles it never used a drop of...
As said. Cup Dampers and Springs and good Geo setup that's all you really need on these cars. Spending that much on Coilovers is overkill unless your on track all the time.
I like my Hot Hatches, so naturally the 172 was next after my Fiesta ST, after reading/watching reviews and on reading threads on here, superb car, it did everything well, interior was a nice place to sit, well spec'd, can hang on the back of cars with twice the power and you could fully enjoy...
I was gutted that went home instead of going for a drive and joining along in the fun, yeah it's a good example, has all the right upgrade's on it to make it a hoot on B-Road's and capable on track. That's one of his intention's at least.
Just show's how quick in the real world these little...
Great write up!, enjoyed reading it. You seem very enthusiastic which is a great thing! really liking the picture with all Three car's together, i bet there's been some good drives out ;)
Good update's mate :)
Make's me want a Cliosport again, keep looking at PH1's and 172 Cup's, just can't get them out of my system! my cousin with the LCR can vouch for your 172, went for a 'blast' with you and your brother to Chorley last week and said that 172 was stupidly quick!
That's what...
Same, i hoping to get some money together and buy it off him but never got around to it. was a minter too. Sold it to a guy called Chris Savage i think his name was, running around 300brake now, Turbo'd it.
I know that feeling regarding the brakes, on the VXR after a good fast road drive, they...
I do mate, it's a small world ain't it!. Yeah he sold the LY 182 and bought a Toyota Corrola T-Sport, and the guy with the other 182, he swapped it for a Toyota Glanza V.
Remember that ST, used to see it all the time, very smart and subtle :)
