It just seems like a crazy number, happy to be proved wrong, but I've worked in plenty of retail stores, including the biggest comet in the country R.I.P. and we never saw anything like that number, most game launches we were lucky to get 5 copies of something.
Well tens takes me up to 99, 1000 is a very different number, I'm sorry, but no single store will receive 1000 copies of a game, not even game I doubt. Maybe Oxford street.

Sounds like it, in my area the stores have struggled to even provide enough copies for the pre-orders, let alone stock for shelves.
Id rather not take the risk.
The reason walking into a store is a bad idea for big launches is that there won't be any copies, this will be sold out everywhere, and most of us will be working on release day, so wouldn't get to the shop until that evening, by which point all the copies will have gone.

I've never had to sign for a game, i doubt they send them all recorded delivery do they, would cost to much, especially as they don't charge for delivery.
It's not guaranteed for 1 day delivery, even with first class which is why most companies send it out 2 days before normally and people get it the day before release. Because rock star have requested they don't do that then some people will be disappointed. But tesco are giving the 2 days that...
