They guy/girl was prob just trying to see what it could do in real life and was almost certainly not trying to race it. I did this with a 458 before to get him to floor it. He did and the noise was immense!
Guys a mad man. Helped build a 200horse pinto engine at 13 on the drive lol. Then had the balls to learn how to drive it and then is a rally legend! I will enjoy that read with a cuppa later! Thanks a lot McGherkin, top man.
The amount of miles I have put on the Trophy for no reason is what they are about. Getting up and going for a drive for driving sake. Said about going 2 weeks ago when we had the first sun in months and it was one of the best journeys I have had in the clio. Really put a smile on my face...
I am in no way knocking them as I love my mates car and love the op's new car, I just expected to feel the torque more. They kind of waft you down the road and it seems effortless. Yeah on a run you can see over 50mpg. Crazy.

If the mats are in good condition then they would sell for 20 quid to someone :p
Get prices off the scrap yard for as many things as you can get and I am sure they will sell quite easily on here.
What looks/said to be the problem with the car as to why it was written off/scrapped?
Not a fan of the silver mirrors or the alloys but the rest looks really tidy imo. Shame you couldn't get a shot of the back of it. What do you think the lease deals will be like?
If the turbo packed in would it be a case of just replacing it (over 1k i know), or would a failed turbo result in other failed components? In fairness it sounds like a decent deal, maybe a little bit less than asking price but not far off. Could you bolt on a better, more established...
