Anyone using a MAC/Aperture 3 ? if so I am using two plug ins at the moment for my personal work, Colour/Silver Efex pro.
I have stuck these through Silver Efex pro to give some punch, love it so far.
Too harsh for some I expect.

Started a project at my local BMX park last night, plan to follow five riders for a few months.
Started off with a few portraits, and sat and watched to see how good and if at all worth following them......"shocked'
A guy called Lloydy simply awesome, could perform pretty much any trick on...
think what it is, where I tried to get rid of some of the reflections the paint looks really flat>
I also found that with the flashguns at certain angles even though it is not metallic- the paint looks pink?

OK here goes, am trying to learn the rope shooting cars, until I get hold of a portable light kit - I have to use SB900 flashguns.
This is my first real attempt, great location and could of spent hours in there, but having the owner present with me whilst shooting put the pressure...
I have bent the pins inside two D3's over the last year!
Once my cards were stuck in this time, they have just stayed there.
carrying a card reader, is just one more piece of kit to go wrong, of late I am trying to minimise the kit I carry.

We have three studio kits in work, but never get used.
I use the strobist kit for portability, yes I could get better results with studio gear - but often find myself shooting out on location.
2 x SB900's usually.
I am totally out of my comfort zone doing this kind of stuff, but feel it is good to push yourself and your boundaries.
Plus I get to letch at these young girlies whilst shooting!!!
