Hi,
Been slowly reconditioning the rear end of my 172 cup, previously shot blasted and painted rear beam and mounts, powerflex bushes, suspension refresh cleaned up stub axles and painted callipers which I'm about to rebuild, new brakes to make up ...the whole shabang.
Just fitting the...

I've had this the other day in a slightly different scenario (with an after market added 12v socket in a different car plus a Berlin twin USB adaptor) - annoyingly the centre pin wouldnt reach the +12v plate inside. So definitely check out the length of your USB adaptor is of a...
Adam is struggling to get a hold of these cup brake lines with the extra flexi hose at the calliper end - only the full copper ones are now showing on their systems. I need to replace both rear lines from the chassis backwards so I'm thinking of getting some full length flexies made up fro Hel...
In the same boat on the suspension itself for a track/sprint focused (road legal) 172 cup.
Are the PMS top mounts worth it over the OEM?
Would cooksport springs lower a 172 cup even further from standard? Where's the best place to get 'em?
Cheers.
They look good, its close to becoming a how to article for the members section ;-)
Any chance you could recommend the gauge and dimensions of the material you used, and where you sourced it, and also the hangers?
Are there additional fixings underneath, a pic would be great?
Cheers
Have a rear beam and white line ARB about to go off for sand blasting and powder coating. Will probably be doing the stub axles and rebuilding and paint callipers myself in black and silver respectively. All this is on a mondial blue 172 cup destined to be a road legal track and hillclimb...
So I'm stripping and rebuilding the rear bear section on a 172 cup. One of the brake lines has already been bent in the past and is now rusty and no doubt just waiting to fail. The other n/s shorter one I wrecked when detaching from the calliper... Doh! Though I could get it re-flared I guess...
Have PM'd.
Not sure on model but I can check tonight, here's a pic from which you might recognise it. (Masking tape is me looking at potentially making some OMP side mounts fit - bimarco seat is too wide)
^^ as sburrell93 says. Just been through this myself, I found it to be a break in the actual wiring in the steering squib - so you might have to trace it or get it connected to a diagnostics system to help identify the location of the fault. Make sure you've doubled the resistor legs that you...
Thanks for the offers, much appreciated, but the car is currently SORN while I'm working on it. But the good news is that I found and fixed the problem.
Thanks to the pin out diagram that ianboom kindly provided and a little time and patience, I was able to pin point the location of the fault...
Thanks, yes I'm fairly experienced with a multimeter so a pinout would be much appreciated, its only so I can identify the point of failure before investing into more equipment
Can someone help me out before I loss my mind sifting through the previous posts regarding the airbag and SERV light.
Is there a cheap (priven) device that can interrogate the airbag ECU for fault code without me having to have access to CLIP? Resetting the codes would be a bonus, but right...
Glad I asked, thanks for the help all, that's a cracking price.
So do I just ring Wembley branch and ask for Justin/Chaz? Or, Feirny do you also work for ECP?
That's good to know and explains why I hear many instances of people buy parts from there yet the website comes up with sweet fa in the search results for me. I'll try them as well, thanks!
