why dont you put your money towards somthing that will actually gain you power people seem to look into airfilters a lot even though its an area where very little gains are to be had,you could have the inlet manifold ported for less than that,or modified ecu
are you sure the exhaust isnt blowing anywhere, mine sounds a bit tinny which i reckon is the standard cat,i cant see it been the tappets after 32000 mile when there hyrdrolic
Yeah nick did mine on special offer earlier this year he only charged £130 fitted with new renault gaskets,he ramapped it for me at the same time,it is vast improvment in drivability as well as a nice power gain
I got a tracker on my lorry at work after they fitted it i thought i would have a nose round to see if i could find it,took me about 5 minutes,it was behind one of the dash panels and even found an in-line fuse which cut it off,so maybe there not as good as there cracked up to be
^exactley he does a lot of motorway driving and reckons he still only getting 40mpg,i know a lot of people will completely disagree with me here but i dont see the point in modifying a diesel engine didnt you buy it to be good on fuel?
Ive just ordered a set of tarox discs and pads off nick at hillpower the pads are the new tarox track pads but dont need warming up so there a good all rounder, but i suppose there will be a few people on here who will say there a pile of sh*te even though they havnt used them
I know the diesels are getting quieter and quicker but at the cost of economy,a freind at work has got a 2litre stdi focus cmax and the best mpg he can get is 40 so not really much better than a 172 which can manage about 32-34
this is just my opinion but putting carbs on and taking the injection off is going back in time, injection is precise fuelling and carbs just ar'nt plus you'll have to have it setup now and again, and the fuel economy will be shocking
nick got me a brand new box for my megane coupe when i had it,was on about £400 which i thought was good value,
Derv i'd send it to nick hills for the engine swap he knows them engine's like the back of his hand
