Hey guys
I'm well up for convoying - but if we go to LFE that adds 40miles EACH WAY
It's already a 100mile each way trip.
Why are we going over to LFE? Instead of just straight down the A1?
Yeah definitely - just not sure what.
I really want to get back to Brands Hatch as it was the first track I did, I love it and know it well.
I also want to get back to Anglesey and do another day at Donington - but pretty busy with work at the moment so will just have to see what I can...
I'm running -3 on the fronts and -2.3 on the rears - so very similar to you
Even on road tyres there's virtually no understeer at all - so if you're still having problems with those settings I think you should probably look at other contributing factors
Maybe fit some shims to the rear and...
Haha Nick - yeah it does roll a fair bit but that corner is seriously tight
Also in the famous words of Fred "roll isn't a bad thing" ;)
I love the KW's gotta be honest
I did copy your bumper mod yeah cos I got sick to death trying to find a decent set of cup air ducts - BUT not sure I...
Cheers mate
I'm just really glad I battled through all the "I might sell this" nonsense - it's all come together all of a sudden in the last few months and I love it to bits now :D
Re: Grey With Trinkets, Russ' 29th RS Clio
Yes ditto.
I feel sorry for all the people he's ripped off, the people who've had to take him to court, the people who tried to work with him and have had their reputation destroyed by him.
The only reason I ask about the map was I've seen a car...
I think Tony is right (as per usual)
You get understeer going into a corner if the rear has more grip than the front as it pushes the front on - but when you add camber then it's reducing grip under braking in a straight line and adding grip when cornering
I've given up trying to understand...
With the cat I was getting around 98-100db
With an extra silencer welded in I now get 93db
Most tracks I do are 95db so it was kinda impractical before lol
By the time he's paid labour to remove and refit engine - it'll be cheaper to drop another one in.
The labour cost to strip it down and replace rings etc... just isn't worth it
They come up all the time on here for £3-400 sometimes with belts and dephaser already done
Might even get some...
As fred said - I bought TRW track rod ends for my car and they are absolutely identical to the renault stuff - quarter of the price
They also work fine on my 200bhp track car - so I'm sure the extra power of your sport will be ok lol
An evo starts off turbo'd - a clio doesn't
That makes quite a difference.
I think if I had the money you had - I wouldn't boost a Clio
But Chip will disagree with me there ;) lol
Sorry yes - but they're slow when you try to do boost control with them as they're not REALLY designed for that
They're perfectly fine for the purpose they were designed for (like running my car LOL)
I'm not sure "what is the best" and "what can I afford" overlap very well on boosted cars
Omex 600 and DTA S40 are some of the most used because they are cheap, but to be honest both are too slow really and lack 3d boost control
As Chip says find a mapper you trust and go with their...
