There are multiple categories in time attack - you wouldn't be competing with the CRX and i'll be honest the time attack cars in your class aren't that quick!
Hahahahaha I get an image of some folded armed "I don't want to talk about it" conversations lol
I have the opposite problem, I was going to swap my Clio this week with a mate for his 340bhp turbo'd 106... But my girlfriend told me I wasn't allowed because she wants to buy the clio off me and...
10 to 2? seriously? LOL
I'm pretty sure my driving instructor would have more issues with that driving than the fact that I'm only using one hand.
Was trying to keep the view unobstructed of the shifter ;)
Yeah most of the forums say the 5D Mark II misses too many shots because it only has one cross focus point doesn't it
I know my 7D was insane, you could pretty much let it choose focus points, and 99% of panning shots were pin sharp. But I kinda like the idea at having to work for it a bit more...
Hrmmm another 5D convert who shoots sports/action shots... I'll be interested to see how your next btcc/clio cup turns out
I really want a 5D but everyone kept telling me the AF would bug the hell out of me doing action stuff. It doesn't seem to be the case though lol
Video of mine guys - taken from a few angles
Have to apologise for the awful rattling noise - turns out my sony action cam battery rattles around. I've fixed it now with a bit of sticky back foam but it was awful on these vids
Oh yeah and driving with an action cam pretty much wedged...
Yeah I've just been out making a vid of mine and it knocks into reverse and 5th to be fair - more into reverse
I don't care though - I rarely use reverse or 5th on track and when I'm out driving on the road I wont be smashing it through gears lol
That rubber end was what I ended up having...
Oh see your point lol
I always forget labour costs.
He could always cut some corners though - use some cable ties, jam some copper house pipe in the cooling system, bodge the existing wiring together. That'd save time ;)
Hey guys/gals
There's a few lincolnshire people who can't make Cliosport Saturday so we're having a little mini-meetup at the Pride of Lincoln this Sunday
5pm - food, drinks and a bit of banter in the car park.
Maybe go for a quick drive out.. whatever people want to do really
I'll be...
Where the funk do you get 40k from?
I know getting a shell painted & powdercoating is expensive - and looms aren't cheap. But no way would it cost £40k to build a car of this spec if it's all planned and budgeted up front!
I have to say after looking at it again the other day I think the not-self-centering thing is down to how tight that pivot bush is on mine
And agreed it's a little tiny bit longer than the one that came out
I think I might pull it back out this weekend and put the old one back in as it will...
Yup - well actually I jacked just one side up in the garage and did it in there cos it was a bit warmer lol
It's all very do-able in about 2hrs if you're handy with a spanner. Pushing that white bush in for the end of the selector rod was the only bit I found an utter pain in the arse to do...
Right then guys - took some nice comparison/product shots
If Nick@PMS wants to use these on the site - feel free mate
From the side - in neutral (out of gear)
From the side - in 1st gear
From the side - in 4th gear
Drivers side - in neutral - just to show where it sits in...
Mines all fitted... there's pics here -> http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?700929-GROUP-BUY-Pure-Motorsport-Shifter&p=9613794&viewfull=1#post9613794
Had a few issues - especially with the c-clip popping out. It's a b**ch to fit that new c-clip and white plastic bush. But stick...
Nope - it was his fault, pulled out about 2 car lengths in front of someone - then blamed them for speeding. Posted pictures which clearly shows he pulled out in front of someone and caused an accident. Insurance company blamed him, witnesses came forward to blame him and he's convinced the guy...
It's really depressing because I've always had a bit of faith that while accidents suck people do learn from them
I wrote my first car off and it was entirely my fault, I learnt from it and became a better driver
But this thread has just reminded me that there are idiots who are so stubborn...
I know a specific ex-cosworth person has an opinion of their own, but honestly depending on who you speak to the stories differ. Either way it's pretty clear who built this car and I don't think trying to fob it off onto his old partners is going to gain him any friends.
Track Group was a PLC started in September 2010 by directors from Tour-De-Force, Track-Club & Performance Centre with a few people from Rollcentre, Ricardo and Cosworth joining the newly formed group.
They had an idea to create one big limited company with a huge custom built facility, move all...

And yeah I'm waiting for the followup to this where the claim ends up being 18k for whiplash...
