No no no!!! Slamming your car and adding some camber makes it worse on the road. Throwing 300bhp through it doesn't ;)
Improving a clio's looks is pointless because they're not pretty to start with, but trying to make one quick even though they're slow to start with makes sense. Chip gospel -...
Err........
You aren't supposed to pull the white bit out - that's just getting to the inside of the pump, the pump will be fecked.
Buy new one for a tenner, pull old one out, take hoses off, put hoses on new one, push new one in .. job done
It was more the fact that he bunches his entire reply into a single block of text which I couldn't read without sitting and breaking it into blocks.
Also - are you working on one of those apostrophe-less keyboards today? ;)
*don't
*wouldn't

This stupid fad needs stopping
It's loud, chavvy, annoying, and will eventually destroy your engine and exhaust system.
And no-one in the whole world will believe you've got anti-lag on your clio.
No - polo rad. The standard rad rubs against 90mm trumpets and allows no room for a filter.
I don't see the point in fitting £2k bodies - then losing a load of torque by going down to 60mm trumpets rather than just spend the £100 ish on a decent polo rad and fan TBH.
Exactly - considering...
It's deceptive those photos - the actual bonnet latch is chunky as hell
My trumpets hit it
I really wouldn't sacrifice the torque (which lets face it is the main reason for ITB's) just because you don't want to cut the bonnet up.
Either get a bar made up (which shouldn't really be too...
There was a ph1 built a few years back and featured in fast car... in fact here -> http://www.rsfabrications.com/2010/01/14/renault-clio-172-sport-fastcar-in-for-raidiator-ram-airbox/
He had a bar fabricated that kept the bonnet catch so you could just use the normal bonnet latch.
Nice...
Is your f**king keyboard broken?
Stop typing responses like a spastic, I can't even be bothered to read any of that!
Also from the bit I did read - you rant that you should buy cars and keep them standard so you don't waste money on cars that aren't worth it. Why did you buy a gti-6 and a 172...
Yup
You'd need engine, gearbox, full loom, dashboard dials, driveshafts, suspension, rear beam, brakes all round, manifold, exhaust etc.. etc..
The insurance would be stupid as it's a conversion compared to just owning a sport.
Unless you're trying to do a conversion and not tell anyone...
LOL small world - I'm the owner of 106owners ;)
I loved my 106's but same as you I felt I spent more time under them fixing them than actually driving them.
The clio so far has been spot on for me - far more reliable.
LOL crap dig.. and nothing to do with what I was saying.
What I was saying is there are also some people who build cars because it improves their looks and then just tootle round in them showing them off - and Laurens old car was bang on for that. It looked epic. I'd of cruised round in it at...
It really isn't (or rather wasn't).. I'd happily drive that every day.
If max power was still going people would be grabbing tissues over that car! And I hate the whole sheep "everyone has a track car so I have to" attitude ;)
If it's not turning over at all then the starter motor is dead. Pretty common. The wiring on them also can melt due to them sitting under the exhaust manifold.
See if it'll push start - if it will have a look at the starter motor :)
Yeah that's what I was thinking - my road tax runs out end of this month so wouldn't mind a bit of an evening blast somewhere. Not seen Mark in a while.
I'll let you know :)
LOL sorry mate no worries. There's a few options you can take with the oil breathers and vacuum hoses and stuff.
I might have a trip up to Selby this week to catch up with Mark if he's working on your car all week. Might bump into you :)
