Just found out my wedding photographer friend uses one a lot and rates it very highly.

I do love my pentax though!! Think I might try the Siggy. It's a lot cheaper than the Pentax variety by a fair bit.

Agree with you there Phil, I jsut cant see the need for so many focus points for my type of shooting,. Mine only has 11 lol.

Anyone used one on a crop sensor? I intend to get a 70-200 Siggy f2.8 in the future but looking at something for the lower range. I barely shoot wide so that will not be the problem. I know it uses larger filters, but anyone had experiance of this lens? Want a fast zoom, and a constant f2.8 is...

Right - going to try out the RS-Sport 2 and RS-7 over the weekend and decide which one to go for.

Do like the RS-7 though - its quite discreet. Had the opportunity to try the Matin comfort neck/shoulder strap today. Was much better than the standard strap, can be worn around neck or over shoulder. Very soft neoprene and quite bouncy! Trouble is, having tried the BR, it just felt clumsy...

Very true! Will see what happens when get a heavier lens. Can always buy the brad strap at a later date.

Looked at sport and sport 2. Was not sure if I fancied the under arm strap. RS-7 does not seem to slip very much tbh.

Will venture out over the South Downs this weekend. Probably take the Siggy 30 then next day the 18-135 for a bit of variety. Have the Matin comfort strap too, so will test both!

Stick the 40mm pancake on it and you have one small set up with a proper view finder!

Bought the RS-7 today - will give it a try tomorrow. Feels so different to what I am used too!!!

Going to try the RS7 at the weekend. Anyone noticed the buckle causing any damage to the bottom of the camera with rubbing when stored? I don't have any big lenses yet, but this may well change in the future!

Tried some at lunch. Going for optech with uni-loop connectors. Allows me to also get optech sling strap and hand strap which can just clip on. Good value too.

Not sure on these sling kind of straps. Maybe I need to try one for a longer period of time. Did briefly look at the rs4 and rs7 black rapids.

I used a 400D couple of weeks back and found it slow and frustrating with rubbish ISO performance. Then again, some people love it!

No need to start on someone's photos TBH! Had no probs with motion with my old D40. Although in going to break the mould here an say pentax k30 with 18-55 and 50-200. Under budget, good ISO performance, 6fps, weather sealed and lots more than your average entry level. Just check reviews to...

They look like standard ad style pics taken with a standard camera. If that's what you wanted that's what you have. As mentioned, if you want them for anything else, just better framing and angles would do wonders.

ISO performance is pretty good on the D7000, I don't think the D600 will blow you away compared to the D7000 TBH.

The only downside of the Pentax Sigma is that it has no HSM and is driven by the cameras screw drive focus system. This makes it a bit nosier. On the upside, the screw drive is as fast if not a little faster than HSM, and its a little bit smaller than the standard version. Not had much chance...
