Drop a new engine in, can pick one up for £300. If you do put a new engine in then get all the belts and everything done, as the engine is out it will only cost you parts.
Serious question: Can you remove the head by removing the Dephaser and just moving the belt out the way? Or do you have to completely dissemble the car like have the belt changed completely? As a rule I think it's bad to re tension a belt.
Throttle position sensor. It's on the side of the throttle body, tells the ECU the position of the throttle (Obviously) Common fault on the 1.2 16v Clio's not to sure about the RS. Try changing the throttle body see if that helps. Can pick up a second hand one on here fairly cheap.
Mine is under the edge of the roof lining, down the drivers pillar and then fed behind the dash (Taking the dash off is a simple job) then into the head unit.
Just to add my input :) I use copper crease on the runners just to stop them seizing :) nothing worse than squeaky brakes. I have sure the calliper is wire brushed down, even gone to the extreme of filing pad edges down so they move freely. Wouldn't recommend that though.
My clutch is on about 2k and still going strong ;)
Doesn't the clutch seem to get heavier the more miles it has done? Could think of a better way to word that.
Followed me through town then had a little blast up the Tetbury hill.
Didn't see any CS markings but though I would see if you was on here.
Was in the Black Gold 182 :)
Yeah if I listening to music via Bluetooth then decide to listen to radio I have to stop my phone playing then it will be silent for like 20 seconds them the radio will come through. If I unlock me phone though the noise will still come through the parrot over the radio.
Was going to say crank sensor. Friend was giving his 172 cup death down the dual carriage way then the car suddenly cut out. Thrust bearing had shattered and took out the sensor.
Fitted mine couple weeks ago, So simple to do. Makes it a lot easier for cable management if you insulation tape all the wires together in bundles, just make sure you zip tie them so they don't rattle. Best place for the blue box is up behind the hazard switch as the cables have foam wrapped...
