It says I have coverage, but it didn't work in the house.. and standing outside to use the phone got a bit silly ;)
Thsoe coverage checkers are nonsense IMO. Real usage ftw!
I did the same - left O2 for Orange way back.. it wasn't too bad, but I was glad to move away for signal reasons.
Cellnet [bydefault] BT Cellnet [bydefault] O2 -> Orange -> Vodafone -> O2.
Happy with O2 now.. don't think I'll be moving to anyone else.
I only used Vodafone (didn't have to put up with their customer support as it was a work contract) but in terms of using it, it was superb.
Almost as good as O2.. ;) which, now I'm on a "high street" tarrif, is very good on both the signal etc.. but also the customer service. Infact, they have...
See, that's how things SHOULD work.. Heh.
Monitoring folder thing is annoying though.. it should do that by default really.
WMP to me is quite possibly the worst unusable application Microsoft has ever made.. and they've made some shockers. Nothing is logical IMO - it's ugly, it's unusable...
See, your problem is WMP and it's shitty WMA format.. ;)
iTunes is *trying* to save you.. haha. (And iTunes doesn't do WMA, only converts it to something sane, like MP3 :p)
First thing I do in iTunes is change the import to 192k MP3..
iTunes, is in fact, the best music player and organiser ever.. FACT! (Apart from WinAmp, which is good for playing the odd track ;))
That's what I suggested (as it's the only way to do it properly really), but it's impossible to say without knowing the model or inputs on either the receiver or TV..
Be easier just to feed the sound through the receiver if you can?
Does the Wii have a seperate sound output? I think the Xbox does? Sky definetly has an optical out.
It is useful.. but I always turn it off.
The main thing was Adium can hook into it, and do prompts like MSN does.. which is semi useful, although, nothing is better than a bouncing duck on ya dock ;)
It's useful for lots of things.. I'm sure Cyberduck uses it too for transfer status updates etc.
You'll have to go to every site annd update your e-mail address.. (if you're going to lose the @blueyonder.co.uk address).
This is why it's always best to get an ISP-indepedent e-mail address, such as hosting you own domain, gmail, hotmail etc.. as when the ISP goes crap, you can change without...
It's because, what they charge for 20Mb, is NOWHERE near enough to cover the bandwidth used if everyone gets 20Mb, 24/7. Even bandwidth in a London data center would be into the hundreds for a 20Mb commit.
It's also that their network couldn't cope, so they have to tarrfic shape it to all hell...
