Either bend the top of the door frame out a little bit or keep persevering with pushing the central locking button or pulling the inner door handle. The key will be to use the right tool, try a long bamboo garden cane for pushing the CL button or if going for the handle tape a coat hanger hook...

Just in case you didn't know the steps properly 1. Ignition to the second position (Dash lights on, but not started) 2. Turn headlights on/off twice 3. Should hear a Beep (Two Beeps for off iirc) 4. Done

If you can't get it working the normal way, try disconnecting the battery for a few mins, should get it working again. (There might be an easier way, but I don't know it)

As a temporary measure I have done this Until I can be arsed to make a switch plate up to go behind the wheel. If you have the Sabelt wheel though, this will be of no use to you.
