Happened to mine initially, needs to be properly aligned or will vibrate. In the end I went out and bought some universal Powerflex mounts and using a guide on here made my own rear mounts. Costs like £15 compared to the £80 for uprated ones...

Can everyone post me their old cambelts so I can sell them in for a bit of money seen as they never deteriorate could put them to good use....

Your missing the point, what has oil got to do with a cambelt ? That's like saying if I don't change my tyres then my headlights will stop working ...

Ahh right that makes perfect sense. So when there is thick blue/white smoke coming out your exhaust, your head gasket hasn't failed its just your engine smoking a spliff ?

I think everyone is implying you should just stop talking as apparently the large number of specialists on here are all wrong. I bet some on here have changed more cambelt than you have had hot dinners. People do this s**t daily...

Oh right I thought we had done something wrong. I will remember that for next time. Screw VPower Nitro+, castor sugar is what you want.....

That's true we put sugar in my mates fuel tank on his moped and it still ran, for about 3 days then it crystallised and was scrap :)

Isn't Renault recommended oil change interval every 12k, hence why so many people's dephaser makes the car sound like a tractor ;)

Isn't the age related to the heat cycles of the engine. Belts gets hot and cold so goes brittle. Hence why age is a factor ?
Fitted my polybushed dog bone mount. Best £30 spent, car so much more smoother and nice power delivery as the engine isn't twisting and jumping about....
