Does the car have cruise control? if so theres a reason behind the extra kick down ( forget what it is )
Alot of 197 owners with cruise control moan about exactly the same thing.
Know a lad whos got a stripped metro with an elise engine hiding in it, 2bh its not that impressive. The things he coulda bought for the money he spent on that thing
All im saying is seems to me money could have been better spent elsewhere.
Im all for the wolf in sheeps clothing, lightweight hot hatch thing. But the owner obviously got a little carried away here lol
Is the car stripped? that always makes for an unstable ride under braking.
Try sticking a full tank of petrol in, it sounds stupid but you'd be suprised how much it keeps the back end in check ;)
Depends what your after in a car mate.
the 197/200 always seemed a little too slow to me on the straights but the more you drive the car you soon realise its a car that delivers in the corners and not in drag races
Yeah, be real careful though. Its easy to cross thread the spark plug holes, long as u do it with your fingers and then hand tight you'll be fine.
Other points to note for an accurate comp reading, they say its best to remove all spark plugs and do one cylinder at a time, whilst the engine is...
The proposed wheels are the set they always fit to them evos on need for speed, least the recent ones. not indivdual enough for that reason.
Current wheels suit the car/colour nicely.
Thats the same comp tester i have and it fitted my 2003 1.4 clio perfectly, believe its the same plug thread as the 2.0ltrs.
Have u tried using it, if the fits that tight then its unlikely to leak pressure
Renault trade mark is the ticky engine. Mine has only 4000miles on the clock and it ticks as much as my old 50,000mile 1.4
When discussing it with a renault tech at the dealers they said it was due to the way renault design their engines, and its actually piston slap which causes the noise...
