That looks the same as mine - but I got mine 2nd hand so not sure on part number :(
They are stupidly expensive
Do a google search for DIY ones - quite a few people have bought the normal sliders and then used like an arduino (or even lego motor) to power a belt to move it up and down
The arduino ones are quite cool as you can program speed etc..
Piece of piss - tie some string to the passenger heater connector - and to the lock/wiper connector - pull them out then just tape the string in place
When you want to re-fit just tie the string to the loom and use it to pull the loom back in
Had the boot off mine a few times now for roll...
Well no I know you've not built it to be rolled - but s**t happens on track days - I've had mine up on 2 wheels well beyond the comfort point at brands
I'm sure it's better than nothing - and it'll stiffen the car up a bit
IF everything else was maximised (which if they're getting loads of understeer it clearly isn't, because the burpspeed lads don't get understeer) then it might help
But it might help at the cost of custom driveshafts, custom track rod ends, custom arb links etc.. all of which will add...
I think even if they mods did "pay off" the increase in front end grip will be no more than what you could achieve playing with the geometry, fitting better tyres, getting better suspension - and it will be a lot more hassle
You have to drop the manifold to fit a 182 manifold - the 172 manifold can be fitted from the top just by removing the top inlet manifold
If you chuck a 172 manifold on and then fit the 172 cat you'll find they're too short to meet the middle pipe - but you could get the middle pipe extended...
I think I'm gonna bow out of this conversation now - I really do think you're over-thinking the solution to a very simple problem.
If I was building a tin top clio and had understeer I think I'd just look to the other tin top cars that don't and try what they've done rather than thinking up...
I don't think there will be a sudden weight transference just because a rear wheel c***s up... doesn't sound right to me
All I know is that the cup racers are about the best handling clio's I've ever seen and they spend most their life on 3 wheels
^^ That's what I'm scratching my head at
If you have some understeer - try stiffening the rear shocks, playing with camber/caster, tyre pressures etc.. etc... there's plenty of people on here got very very good handling clios without moving the suspension legs out 30mm each side. Having to...
Looking back on that day at Anglesey when I came off thinking your car really should have been a lot quicker than mine makes me feel so depressed now
On the upside - next year will be awesome
Love the work you've done, I need to get my rocker covers painted up and bigger trumpets fitted...
I started the ITB'd beast up at the weekend - first time it's started in 2 months since I got the pissrat. Started first turn of the key though the battery was nearly flat lol pretty gobsmacked
Mine wont be out till march for MOT too now :(
The fuji X-E1 is pretty much the X100 follow up. I don't think they'll do an X200
The X-E1 looks amazing but I couldn't justify the price tag
Agree with you about buying new too - but only up to a limit, I couldn't justify £1800 for my 70-200L so I bought second hand lol Plus they're built...
Are you buying new? If so the sticky aperture blade thing is fixed anyway
They are fantastic little cameras - I never noticed a slow AF speed. The EOS M I have on the other hand is shocking :(
It's just a really poorly sealed lens - mine had dust in from factory (and on sensor)
The viewfinder fills up with dust quite quickly too lol
I'd go for an olympus pen mate - they look insane and have all the manual controls you'd need
Watch window crack... seriously don't poor warm water on a frozen windscreen
I'm lucky enough to have my car parked in my back yard behind the house - so I just start the engine and drink my coffee in the kitchen, when I go out it's lovely and warm lol
Thanks mate - was taken after I bought a meguiars machine polisher and attacked the car with it lol
Emma - is that your exhaust back box hanging off on track? :|
Agreed
I've never changed the height at the back since fitting mine. Loads of people with H&R's/KW's etc seem to fit the springs without them anyway to get it a bit lower
I'd just get some springs made to the right height and not bother with adjustors
