The Clio had a lot more storage that my Lupo, however the cup holders were rubbish I never put a drink down there mainly because they don't fit and secondly because if it spills it would be a nightmare to clean out and also isn't the diagnostics plug thingy under the ashtray, knowing my luck it...
As above you've got nothing to lose. Only other alternative is to find a very bent MOT station, probably with a bribe, although I wouldn't condone such activity.
