Thats the one, its ridiculous, they hold their money very well though so I guess it will be good news come sale time. For what I paid for my Y reg I could of had a very tidy younger 172ff. Exclusivity is an expensive business!
Mint aren't they, I seem to recall though he had to get adapters to make them fit which cost nearly as much as the wheels. A few pics here.

Last ones on a 54 or 55 I can't remember which.
That one used to belong to A1EXFTrophynumber whatever his name is that posts on here, if you do a search theres some better photos of it he has put up on here, loads of money spent on that.
Theres one on autotrader for £11,200! £9995 is not uncommon for the end of line models.
Very nice and a reasonable price too, im not sure if it was a overcast day but the paintwork does look a little dull compared to some photos of black gold.
Uber rare in Raven Blue form, most seem to be the later ones which for the moment are still Clio Trophy money!
There are 950 in total in the UK, rarer than an NA VX220 I will have you know! The majority are Silver almost 75% im led to believe, I think Richard's girlfriends one in black is even...
140hp standard, isn't that 15hp up! I might have to get mine rolling roaded it does seem quicker than I expected, goes right round to just under 140 jelly babies on the clock without a great deal of effort.
You got a cracking deal by the sound of it, theres a good coilover group buy on Club Lupo atm, unfortunatly Im limited by the steepness of the driveway at my student house so I can't lower it for a few more months.
Very tidy Will, love the plate too, just out of interest what have you had...
££££ though, theres a few late ones up at the moment for near on £10k!
http://www.churchsperformancecars.co.uk/stock_index.asp £9.5k for one on there 54 plater, madness!
If I came into some serious cash i would trade mine for a raven blue with full leather, anyway I ve spammed this thread...
Tidy for the year, not really a fan of the CF bonnet or the wheels though to be honest, stick it on turbines with a white bonnet and that will look lovely.
Deffo, sometimes wish i had bought a high miler six speed, all the reasonable ones were well over my budget at the time and I couldn't get away from the mileage on my one.
If I was keeping it I would drop the 6 speed box in but I imagine it will have to be sold early September time or at latest...
The problem is 172 FF's are getting cheaper all the time because 182's are getting cheaper and thats down to the fact 197s are on the scene, there is a used 197 in the for sale section for £9.5k!!
Yours was certainly very good value for money due to the size of it! All that stainless you could of weighed it in for a couple of grand ;)
If it makes you feel any better Aluco i bought a brand new universal fit back box, 4 inch exit baby for £100 back when I was a youngster. Never did fit...
I believe it was sold as catergorised.
I will emphasise what I have already said, there was always going to be profit in this car due to the fact he got it for such a good price in the first place.
IIRC he payed like £6k FFS its obviously worth twice that even as a CAT D.
And yes he did...
Very tidy example mate, looks great in black, hope your girlfriend has alot of fun with it.
:o We've been pm'ing all week, I think i might have badgered him into it!
I always fancied an Initiale, the interior is pimping! Looks good on those Momo's. But please don't put a carzone kit on it, yes I did notice the poster and no its not good idea.
I agree with what your saying, its not particularly professional especially on a car as rare as a vee where the chances of the new owner coming on here are quite high.
Having said that the point I was trying to get accross was that he didn't rip anyone off if he sold it at the going rate, as...
