Was chatting to a VOSA MOT tester down at BMW this week when I popped in.
Got to chatting about my clio and he said the new legislation regarding having sliding front seats fitted from factory was now enforceable at MOT (my buckets are on sliders so no issue)
Wondered if anyone had come up...
I use WIM for the Geo on my Clio, great bunch and they really know their stuff (especially MX5).
They are a fair distance from you though up in Chesham.
Ps: Car looks lovely
I don't understand why he spent £3000 on paint work and then £4000 on a respray? Seems if he had it painted right the first time, he could have saved £3000.
Remove rear light bulbs clean connections on both the bulbs and the connector block with a bit of sand paper, gently bend the connections out to ensure you are getting a good connection. Job done
Points to take into account:
1. Will you have to drive the car
2. Will you have to be seen in the car
3. What 'special' sexual favours will you gain from your mrs by fitting them.
True you could say that, although why he would have done a s**t job on mine and a good one on this one is beyond me...
Mine is plain black with silver stitching to keep it as OEM as possible.
IIRC I paid by bank transfer and be happy to do so again should the need arise, workmanship is second...
I've got one of Snappys re-trimmed wheels in my Cup, one of the first ones Sold on here I think so probably about 2 years back and it's still like new.
As I say I'm not clued up on the 225 conversion other than I'm aware there are a few fitment issues with the gearbox that have to be addressed.
Boost can work very well, Chips clio is running a PH1 engine with 197 inlets and is making very good power.
Another member who might be worth...
As above really.
I'm with them have been for 3 years now. Reasonable cost (comparative with other company's) everything declared on a like for like basis. Staff very knowledgable and friendly.
I thought the V6 wheels were more 'Spokey' I could be entirely wrong (probably am). IIRC it was a black one, maybe they just suited a black car over red.
Choice 1.
I run them in my cup which I use as a daily.
Comfortable, very supportive and on long drives they don't leave you crippled (did some 900 odd miles in them a few weeks back)
Will be the rear lamp connections, I had to adjust the pins slightly with a small screw driver on the connector block on mine.
Even if the connections look clean I would still suggest giving them a clean up with some sand paper.
Iirc you can put a bucket in the engine bay, you could put the sand in that.
I've driven my cup the past 4 winters without issues, it's not the car that's the issue, it's your application of the throttle.
