When MGS4 came out there wasn't much at all worth getting on the PS3, so its fair to say it was the first truly great game of the system. That may have influenced some Reviewers? I would MGS4 is a standalone masterpiece and will more than hold its own against the current crop.

You could always get the purple flame shield by killing the red dragon in 1-2 with arrows? Takes about 100 arrows and 30 minutes but its a great shield! Shield can then be collected from its roost in 1-1.

Amazingly GAME had this at £24.99 instore for the xbox360 and £19.99 for PC yesterday so I picked up a couple of copies for the 360 for me and a mate of mine, as I can sell it for the same/more when I get bored! L4D1 is still £40 in most places so I was amazed this had come down so soon!
