But there was a bigger difference between the 172 Cup and FF was there not? I think what a lot of folk are comparing to is the price you get get a 197 or R27 (at least a few weeks ago). Agree that £2k increase given the time isn't too bad. Cheers.

I've only had mine a few weeks and it's number 223 so perhaps not! Maybe they've not been sold in numerical order though.

Claire's mum is looking at getting a Clio but doesn't want to spend more than 2.5k on it. Ideally looking for Mk2 Ph2 - open to suggestions on trim levels, no. of doors engines etc. She does about 10-15k a year I think. Seen this on Pistonheads - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/251465.htm...

So true - it's as rough as sh*t when cold below 2.5k and gutless below there when warm.

Spotted about 4.45 this afternoon going North (Glasgow) bound on the M74 just before the Hamilton junction. I was going the other way. 57 plate I think. I thought it was Alan at first.

The new Samsung F series looks awesome - same panel as the latest Bravia too I believe. About £600 quid cheaper too for the equivalent size.

Like Iain said, I'm sure Alan will be along in a minute to let you know how he's getting on with his R27.

Not much use now the season is over but Setanta Sport have been showing the Clio Cup etc. live all season. Not quite worth the £9.99 alone but it's an ok way to spent a dreich sunday afternoon.

I've found this too - can't fault them.

I find AutoGlym Fast Glass does the trick. As many have said - make sure you give the blades a good clean and check for any obvious signs of wear and tear.

At least it was always warmed up before an "enthusiastic" driving - big believer in that too!
