R27's are a very good price just now - standard 197's are an even better price. You have to weigh up what you want as air con, recaros (all standard on the R27) will be optional extras on the Cup.

Looks quite good mate. I ended up going for the X001 DMR. Slightly more costly but ideal if you only want to use it with an iPod / MP3 player. Cheers.

Yes. Under the steering wheel at the left hand side. Small black handle that you pull down towards the floor and towards you. It's quite far back IIRC. It's a bit awkward but makes all the difference as you get a fair bit of movement for both rake and reach. First thing I did before I left...

I wondered how my R27 would compare to the 172 Cup I had, but it's hard to make a direct comparison - it's been 3 1/2 years and in the interim i've had a CTR, EVO VIII MR and Astra VXR. I can't remember ever driving a car that was so much fun to drive and put such a smile on my face. You don't...

I got mine from a main dealer for that sort of price with metallic paint.

No CD is a bit of downer though, but I could probably live without it. Can you personalise the colours like some of the other Alpine units? Would be nice if it could match the clio dials as it sounds awesome :)

VXR got chopped in - shortest I've ever had a car - 6 months! Quick enough, but 19's and poor brakes made for a less than fantastic point to point drive. :(

I remember seeing one that colour at the motorshow. The colour match on the plastic and metal panels was absolutely shocking for a show car!

I've got an Evo VIII MR aerial on the Astra - a throwback the old days :( I changed the Evo aerial for a really short one and forgot to take it off the car before I chopped it in.
