Hi! considering getting my alloys reconditioned, was wondering if anyone on here has had either the smoked chrome or gunmetal finishes and what they think of them. Pictures would also be great xD Thanks.

White Clio 200 near Cumbernauld ASDA today at about 8pm-ish, looked very clean! which is impressive considering the weather recently =D

I'd go 45mm minimum tbh, for me 35mm still left quite a large arch gap, most noticeable at the front. I've actually had my old 16" canastas sitting in my loft for over a year now lol they are pretty scuffed up tho from the previous owner not knowing how to park very well ;-)

nice car mate :-) I just wanted to add that I'd recommend you get the 45mm H&R springs over the apex ones. I had 35mm apex springs on my mk3 and the ride quality was pretty brutal ;-) The H&R springs have been night and day in comparison.

Saw it parked at Glasgow Fort today at around 6:30pm looked very nice :-)

Hey there :-) to get the stock gearknob off i basically put the car in 4th gear, got in the back seat, put the front seats forward and pulled as hard as i possibly could lol (you dont need to twist or anything just straight up) it takes quite a bit of effort to get it off but eventually it will...

Saw a nice clio 200 at the multi-storey parking in glasgow near cineworld today, also keep seeing a red clio 172 at tesco car park in cumbernauld...always seems to be in the same space. Anyone on here??

Hey thought id post a quick update since i havent posted anything in so long. Car is pretty much the same, just looking for some ideas really... Got the itch to do something with it again but dont know what :-D

Loving the car mate :-) I think you should get those side mouldings colour coded tho! and maybe deflectors too. I feel like those alloys would look better gunmetal or black, but still like them white. Looking good tho, very shiny :-D

hmm, will definitely be taking it easy over the larger speed bumps then just incase.

Also havent had any issues so far with scraping, would have to be a bit lower for that i think

Thanks :-) the ride is noticeably better than with the apex springs, car is much nicer to drive now and still corners nice and flat

Finally had a free day today to get the car cleaned and take a pic with the new springs on, took the pic from the exact same spot as before to show a more accurate difference. Also cleaned the inside of my alloys, cleaned the wheel arches and brake callipers so been a good day haha ;-) there...

Not sure to be honest, hoping to get it by 5 or 6 tonight. Depends when they start i guess

So the car in at the garage just now getting springs and spacers fitted, will hopefully get some picks up tonight if its not too late! Hoping theres a decent difference :-o

Oh sorry, I meant the car is already 30mm lowered, but the new springs will be 45mm lowered. Yup was wondering how much the dampers cost? Ill try a google search sorry forgot you werent from the UK :-)
