I have an alpine m500 mono amp rated at 567.8watts rms powering my 200watt rms sony xplode dual 4ohm sub running at 2ohms. Ill give it 3 months before I blow the sub up. mono amps are great.
Are your subs dual 8ohms (you can wire them in 4 or 16 ohms) or are they dual 4ohms (you can run them...
The connector block has screws on the outside of the car. Bit of a tight fit for a screwdriver but can be done. Or you could take the door off to make it much easier to get at. Big no no!
They dont go through a xover. The tweeter has a ressister on the + cable and the woofer has nothing.
The way I done it was to take the door speaker out and look to see what colour the wires were. Then unplug the door loom and pull back the cover. Now look to see where the wires go into the plug. Should be around the centre. Now take the loom out from inside the car and look for the matching...
I havent noticed the car to be any slower.
Rob is correct the overall height is less than the 15s so the car should be quicker but their is also an increase in weight.
What I want to do is compare the times with my ap-22. (When i can be arsed changing the wheels)
Alright mate. The 16s will fit fine on the front but the rear will rub slighty on the shock and inner arch. This is due to the 172s wider track. To solve the problem I have fitted 3mm spacers on the back. These cost £12 from merseyspeed, you can also get them from halfords.
Hope this helps.
A CUP in silver. Sounds poo to me. Dont think the speedlines will suit silver. Prob will be worth more in the future thou.
Big mistake my reno I think, After all you couldnt buy a silver williams.
Got some mk2 172 wheels on my dynamique. You need spacers on the back to stop them rubbing on the inner arch. Performance isnt effected that much. Handles much better.
You have the same problem as me. The left rear wheel rubs on the inner arch. Its because the 172 has a wider track. The 172 is 27mm wider at the front and 17mm wider at the back. The cup is 20mm wider than a 172 at the front and 10mm wider at the back.
