Mines going on to have the PAS sensor (down near alternator) swapped as it has a minor leak, so not serious...
Ill check theyre putting your oil in, what is it?!
Tell them not to touch the pads as you have sports ones in there and they should be fine with that.
I did this with my old 106 GTi and they were ok with it and no probs with warranty...
p.s. the Ecotek should be there soon ;)
Was just looking to see if there was a "do not use below a certain mileage" warning for Slick 50 and found some interesting stuff...
Might wanna read this lot >>>

New engines basically cut metal and bed in, which is why theyre tight and less powerful as new, then they gradually loosen up.
With Slick 50 its that good at lubricating & protecting the engine that it can prevent the engine bedding in properly, so youll have to cain it extra hard! ;)
Correct...
Its just a simple resistor costing a few pence that you use to fool the car into thinking its colder than it is and thus slightly advancing the timing and richening the mixture. You simply unplug the IAT sensor, then use the resistor to bridge the contacts in the plug you just removed.
Oh...
Well, thats gonna take ages for the engine to bed in properly now & loosen up!
It does protect your engine, but its that good that it can stop the engine from cutting in fully.
They dont use running in oil anymore, so no real need to drop the oil after the first 1000 miles like you used to do.
Mines on about 2500 miles now and I might just change it soon as there will be cr@p in there from the engine running in, but after that you can go to "normal" oil change intervals.
The silver bulbs really do give it a much cleaner look and the badge is there to just fill the gap under the Clio badge and give the tailgate some symmetry!
Not sure what else Id do actually...
Nope, its either good or bad from the factory mate...
My Cup was diagnosed as having a faulty gearbox at 500miles, which was still in the running in period and I had been gentle with it!
Yet my mate hammered his mk1 172 from day one, has done 3 trackdays in it, covered 53k miles in 2 years...
You need to examine it, but if youre lucky you might be able to just re-shell it...
May need a cranke re-grind and oversize shells though, but its fixable!
Try these:-
Tesco
Privilege
Direct Line
Bell Direct
Adrian Flux
Peformance Direct
Greenlight
Liverpool Victoria
etc...
Should be about 1/2 your renewal mate, but depends on post code, points, etc!
