Define this "strange" noise a bit better. Is it a whine, a vibration, a grinding noise, etc... My gearbox used to whine in 1st gear under load (from about 500 miles) and it was recently swapped under warranty (at 2000 miles) and I know of other cases of dodgy gearboxes, so they can & do f*ck up.

What tailpipe did you go for? Any pics yet mate?

Its actually 625miles (1000km) at no more than 3500rpm (or 80mph) according to the stuff I got with my Cup and I did run mine in... Then after this point I just gradually built it up to about 1000miles, then trotted off to Santa Pod and ran it up the strip with 1257 miles on the clock! ;)...
