It also depends whos in the driving seat... My old 306 Rallye was a lot quicker than it said on paper! Got your vids on my HDD too! ;)- Rich-D

I got a Mondial Blue Cup as that is the best colour IMO and the Cup is known for that colour. But... the mk2 172 looks best in silver IMO- Rich-D

In that case the standard car is over the limit!!! With 52bhp per injector thats 208bhp max, but 80% of that is only 166bhp, so the standard car is beyond the FOS limit...- Rich-D

172 v Cup
Compared to a mk2 172, the Cup is 0.6secs faster 0-60 (Renault figure), its 1.2secs faster 0-100 (Evo figure) and was 2.55secs a lap quicker round Bedford Autodrome (Evo figure) so the Cup is quicker!- Rich-D

Nope... They come with 10W40 semi-synthetic oil in from the factory and the first oil change is at 12k miles (or 2 years), then they continue to use the same oil for the rest of its life.- Rich-D

Which oil for 172 Cup
Ok, I got the answer on the what oil question... Total Quartz 7000 semi-synthetic 10W40 Thats what you should use in the 172/Cup according to my local Renault and I personally would not go changing the viscosity as that is what the engine is designed to run on!
