From what you posted those springs are to suit mk1's. It says 06/1990 to 05/1998. Mk2 Ph1's are newer than this...

I think it's just down to Direct Line being very picky. Be fine if I moved elsewhere I'd imagine, but thats just more cost. Another point, do premiums go down at all after I've had 1 years driving experience? I passed at the start of last May, so if I waited until then would it be any cheaper...

Where would be the best place to look for some lowering springs? Are they specific to different clio models or is it just RS/Non-RS? Any particular makes to look out for/avoid? Apex seems to crop up regularly on this forum.. Chris

I was coming out of the BP garage on Wragby road, close to Greetwell. Think thats the plate i saw?! Modified silver mk2 ph1. Would have been just before 12 today. :)

Mines the 16v lump indeed. Seems quite nippy to me, but the only other car i'd driven properly was a 1.2 8v.
