Not much Help but I ran Rainsports (In the Dry) on Track (They were on a set of wheels I got for Track days so thought Id Kill them)
Apparently I was a Hero for running them as they are not great (According to other Track Dayers) I however had a Great time killing them off.

Personally not had any experiance of Sonus Kit, however I did alot of reading before purchasing mine and general opinion was that the Sonus Compounds were not much cop.
Could be the CAT having broken up inside, that would cause lack of power if it was obstructed.... Will sound a bit like a broken Glass rattling around.
If you are looking at having the whole rocker resealed then yes this is a big job.
I had mine done at the same time as a Cam Belt Kit...
TBH If its not Leaking 'to badly' then i would just keep cleaning it up and keeping an eye on your Oil Level until your belt is due next.
