i'd guess that there is a dry solder joint on the pcb where the power socket is. but i might be wrong lol

i had this happen to me. i took the cover off on the inside where the plug is and realised the the reno w*****s had trapped and broke a wire when they were fixing the window regulator

by the sounds of it you were lucky not to rip the voice coil out of it's gap(sounds like it was getting close to is Xmech)

then you might need to flick it over the lpf @ 80Hz while you got the sub connected also that earth don't look like it's up to the job either tbh

i'd say run a bit of hpf set it to around 70Hz.

fit one then change the lamp to an led would take about a week for an led lamp to drain the battery

get comps for the front there is no other way the oem speakers are comps get an amp for them even if it is only small. and a sealed sub

yeah doubt you'd get it any higher tbh even with two alts

i mean you are only likely to get 13.5v at idle not with 100A load

your not going to get 14.4v(that is the absolute max the regulator in the alt will allow) you'd be lucky to get 13.5v (which i what i get from my 90A alt)

well you did everything exactly right. so i'd blame the amp tbh

have you got the amp?? if not it will all fall into place yeah just need 4 pairs of speaker cable from the hu to amp then another 4 pairs from amp to each speaker

did you check the output with a load connected??? you haven't adjusted the bass setting on the hu have you since doing the scoping?

you have set the gains right aint you??? that does seem a little early for it to clip

you going to be running that amp at 1 ohm then yeah you prolly need about 150A just for the amps

maybe look about getting the alt rewound??? and as above ditch the cap(s) as they are more strain on the electrical system. also what type of power do you need?

when i got an amp from alpine with speaker level input it came with a plug in lead with about 150mm of cable comming off it

nah looks like each fuse goes from the to red plug on the right up to a 15 mini on the top
