I'm putting blue foot-well lights into the car (mk2 clio), wiring the + and - through the A frame is simple enough i guess, but how do you get it up to the courtesy light?
I pulled the courtesy light out of its socket, but cant see which way its going around to the main loom, is it on the...
also, there are 2 of the same type in the heater/air conditioning controls. they sit in one of these (509T twist lock holder) and plug in. but you wont need this since there in the car already:
you can get them from halfords.... t5 capless wedge bulb is what you want. they look like this:
when i had to get them, there were 2 types of wattage. i think its the higher wattage you want, but dont quote me on that
in my old ford fiesta, i had this problem. check in the door hinges, there should be a rubber push pin type thing which when depressed turns the lights off, maybe its stuck. these are normally easy to remove. i think i used wd40 on my fiesta for that. so annoying that is!
i recently did an LED conversion on my dash, i can tell you with the digital display type on a MK2 they should be just under the bottom line 0 mph 0 rev obv.
what i have noticed tho is when you turn key while holding stalk button (going into dash diagnostic check mode), the dials can move down...
Yer i think im going to do this, only thing is i have a giant sub in the boot, so the light does'nt reach the other side, lol. a little annoying since the dials for the sub are on the right >_<
i currently have the same boot light as this:
is it possible to put the same one on the other side? Obviously the plastic would have to be cut out....
i'm just wondering whether there is any wiring loom on the other side to support it, or will i have to wire it from the other side?
Are the push buttons for rear seats replaceable? Unfortuntely mine broke. Somewhat silly design really tho...
They release the seat so you can fold them down....
unbelievable.
the exact same thing happened to me 2 months ago, i re-soldered it on, then it happened AGAIN. so 2 weeks ago when it happened again i opened up, had a look turned out one of the solder plates had broken this time, luckily i managed to solder it back on, how it even has...
s**t, can you make a clio that doesnt have traction control, have it? that would be feckin awesome. im guessing some other things would have to be changed with the drive at front and rear tho :/

probably £15 max, but try this first: http://www.renaultforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=54738
Dont quote me on this, but i think its a motor that has gone, that opens the flap. ive been hearing clicking noises from mine when i press the button lately. have you had that? if so, mine is on its way out too.
i put the lights in last night, i noticed that the mileage display is blue with yellow text. any way to make that white or is there an internal lcd filter?
nice! are those lighter surrounds readily available? i had trouble finding out about the bulb in cig socket when i had to replace it before.
although yours looks a little bit different to mine, don't know if that's cos my car is a privilege variant.
right gotcha, im guessing those stock wedge 1.2watt bulbs arnt bright enough fot it then? il probably end up doing the heater controls after anyway.
Does the 1k ohm 1/8watt resistor just get rigged inline for any switch light you want to change, didnt think about doing the buttons really.
i like the red heater controls you have there, did you buy those wedge bulbs but in red? i had to replace them not so long ago, annoying things they are!
also, before i get this all wrong lol am i right in thinking that 4 PLCC-4 need to be white for the center clock?
i want to have blue rev dials and a mileage display like yours so am i right in thinking i need 4 PLCC-2 white and 4 PLCC-4 blue for that?
what did you use as a filter for the centre clock? that one i linked you is white. i cant seem to find any blue ones? people have suggested blue paper with wd40 on lol, in other car forums!
do both the centre clock and mileage clock have to have filter behind them to make them blue for example? or do you get away with just using blue lights on the lcd?
if possible i want to rip the dashboard out and do it all in one foul sweep lol. Appreciate the info alot!
Looking very nice MWright. im just curious, how many "SMD PLCC 2 3528" did you need to do that? i have exact same dashboard clock as you and just curious as im wanting to do this myself!
the other thing is the radio clock, would this be suitable...
I have an 04 Clio, I noticed the other day that the front passenger foot-well has a bulge about the size of a small football close to the seat.
I've checked underneath the car and the bulge is present underneath. my concern is that this bulge has been caused by a jack as it is near the jacking...
i see, that does make sense i guess.
well i cleared the errors and neither have come back. so if cruise control created the cc error, in theory it would come back straight away since there is no cruise control?
