Re: AAAAhhhhhhhh f**k!
i find once youve made a hole big enough putting a socket big enough for the gauge of cable you have to go straight through the middle, force socket in to hold it open, feed power cable straight through the middle-doesnt really work with thicker gauge cable though
pioneer are developing stalk and display-adapter price £?
older sony units allow the display to be kept (must have cd changer port) adapter price around £60
alpine units with ai net input (in general) adapter price around £85
yeh thats right

like this (valet switch would be your switch)
87 is what you connect to your hid's
10 mins,approx 6-7 bolts
pull off trim above glovebox,3 there
iirc 3 inside (2 up top 1 at back?)
and then pull of door seal,1 screw behind there then the glovebox can be removed from the car and you can get behind easily
yes you could get a stalk with an additional button, horn one im unaware as to whether that would work as it doesnt stay on,only touch and on then let go straight away off unless you could get a relay that is click on click off.it would need to be switched on when you wanted the lights on or just...
undo all bolts to the glovebox, remove=tonnes of space to pull all cables through, the holes are above which makes it rather difficult to push the radio back as you can make the cables go against gravity uphill
does the unit bring up any messages?Have you tried a smaller memory stick as sony arent able to cope with larger sized ones.
320kps is also something that the unit cant cope with but you said youve already converted the files to a lower bit rate
youve lost me there, have you added the sub and amp power figures together?
30amp fuse for 200w will suffice,if both are AGU fuse holders then you can swap the one from the 10gauge to the 8 gauge.I would use the 8 gauge purely if you ever decided to improve it further it saves the hassle
matt
yes will work,if you have pre-outs and they are in use you must use the tel mute on the headunit if it has it,if it doesnt it wont mute the rca's,if no amp then will automatically mute still
you can get universal cages but its better to stick to the correct one so it will actually hold it.what make,i may have one i can post out :)
checked the fuse to the radio?checked the fuses for the radio in the fuse box?
matt
thats there to hold the standard unit straight,it wont make any difference to fitting it in so long as you make sure the cables are out the way and also you havent got a rubber bung on the back of the unit
is it just a case of the display bulbs arent lighting up but the clock is working?seen that before, try it when its darker with the lights on and see if you can faintly make out the display
